We built this 30'x30'x5' Recreation Pond in early 2021. It has 5-waterfalls, and is landscaped with California native plants. The water is naturally filtered through a 3,000 gallon upflow wetland filter.

This unique project was for a very large front yard. The homeowner wanted a pond and stream that her kids and dogs could interact with as well as bring the large lawn to life.
They were also very concerned with water consumption, as her front yard was entirely lawn before. We assured her that ponds use 50% less water than lawns and traditional landscaping. The home owners couldn't be happier with our work and even allow us to show off their garden in our yearly Pond Tour!

Our team came up with the design and incorporated the “yin yang” symbol, with half of it being the pond, the other half synthetic turf so no extra water was needed to water a lawn. All the plants used in landscaping were also drought tolerant turning this oasis into drought tolerant masterpiece!

Creating something to look natural in an unnatural environment can be extremely challenging. Our design team took the challenges of building this pond in a concrete courtyard on full force and the result was absolutely breath taking.
We were able to create a large-scale pond with dimension, adding rock and boulders to build up a waterfall and we dug down deep enough to incorporate a koi fish friendly habitat. And of course, keeping in mind a large enough waterfall that the water flow was still strong enough to recirculate the full body of water.
