Can you tell me about the cabinetry? It's gorgeous. Was it custom or can it be ordered as is?

The cabinetry is custom, we used a teak veneer (I think it was from Tree Frog) and had one of our cabinet guys (Kabi in Denver) run the veneer horizontally across the face instead of the usual vertical placement. Thanks so much for the compliment, the clients love it too!

Well, the tile isn't glass, it is clay with a glaze and honestly I don't remember other than it was probably Mapei brand and most likely a beige in color. Thanks!

Kibak tile is available through Ann Sacks. I must tell you that I have had trouble with the glazes being consistent in the last couple of years. If you order make sure to get current strike off's.

The overall height of the vanity is 36", the cabinets were custom made and I don't have the exact dimensions available but my guess would be about 9" off the floor. We added French cleats to provide additional support for the floating cabinet as well as blocking behind the drywall.

Unfortunately, the computer that had all the specifications for this project had an untimely death. I do not have access to the specifics, especially the sconces. The mirror on the right is a television mirror. The medicine cabinets are from Robern with outlets and defoggers.

I honestly don't remember and the computer that stored all of my orders from this year has died. If I think of it I will write back but offhand I don't have a clue, sorry!

Teak can be expensive, but like all beautiful and well made things can be worth the investment! I believe this veneer is from Tree Frog and most wood workers would have access to it. I am sure they have a website, although offhand I don't know what their URL is. These cabinets were made through Kabi in Denver.

A mix of Asian and contemporary elements provide balance. Blossoms and other patterns on the marble tile soften the clean, modern lines. The custom floating vanity offers a strong horizontal element, while the accent tile balances it with a vertical gesture. The cabinets’ teak veneer runs horizontally, and their hardware completes the contemporary look. The mirror on the left wall conceals a recessed medicine cabinet; the one on the right, a TV.The final project will be the roof deck. First the stairs must be extended up through the skylight to the roof, and then Quint will complete the outdoor space. She has promised to share it with us when the design is complete.Custom cabinets: KabiBrowse more homes by style:Small Homes | Colorful Homes | Eclectic Homes | Modern Homes | Contemporary Homes | Midcentury Homes | Ranch Homes | Traditional Homes | Barn Homes | Townhouses | Apartments | Lofts | Vacation Homes
