Contrasting dark quartz not only matched the design aesthetic of the existing slate floors, but the quartz is stain resistant, heat resistant, anti-microbial and doesn’t show streaks from cleaning. By choosing a glass tile backsplash, the homeowners will not have to worry about any potential staining or re-sealing a natural stone. To add visual interest and tie in the existing floors, the design team added in a mosaic slate feature to the backsplash just above the cooktop.
