The cabinets are accented with hand-made European hardware that enhances the bespoke nature of the kitchen. The children's bathroom has a fun penny tile on the floor juxtaposed against the over-sized subway wall tile. Our design goal for this renovation and addition was to present a modern interpretation of Colonial Plantation Style. This home features dark wood floors, wood paneling and a light soothing color scheme. The Dining Room features classic silk De Gournay Wallpaper which further fuses the indoor and outdoor seamlessness of the home. The amazing tile installations permeate the decor with color, texture and pattern. The shaker-style kitchen is refreshed by using black cabinetry, a custom stainless hood and La Cornue Range. We enjoyed adding vintage finds throughout - a farm table for the Kitchen, Bergere chairs in the Entry, and a Victorian Flower mirror in the Powder Room. threshold interiors ensures that your beach retreat is elegant, transitional and most importantly comfortable and relaxing!

In Detail Interiors
This small guest bathroom in a condo on the beach desperately needed a complete overhaul. We took it to the studs. The space was long and narrow and problematic to begin with having only 7 ft ceilings. And, of course the client wanted a rain head! Yikes! To accomodate this need we recessed the rainhead in a ceiling “niche” of sorts and tiled it with the coordinating mosaic glass we used in other niches in the room.
The client also requested a tub...and shower..but wanted us to be creative in finding the right one. The Neptune “Wind” tub fit the need perfectly. The challenge was how to hang a shower curtain as well as how to mount a tub filler...we used a kohler laminar spout coming from wall so it looks great as well as functioning just as we needed. The shower curtain dilemma is solved by using an old fashioned 25 dollar clothesline. It stretches out from one end to the other and the curtain hangs on it when needed. Day to day the tub shines as the star!
The client also requested a kitty litter box cut into one side of the cabinet so we made the cabinetry look the same from front but on side next to toilet is a small cutout for kitty to enter and exit. The door opens to easily clean the box.
The candle niches were cut into the back wall of tile to give some visual texture to the room. The flooring is 12x12 terrazzo tiles that work perfectly off the blue glass 6x12 tile on the back wall. The other walls are limestone. The countertops are blue lagos Ceasarstone.
All in all, this bath really packs a powerful punch in a small space!

This client started with their home remodel and then hired us to create the exterior as an extension of the interior living space. The backyard was sloped and did not provide much flat area. We built a completely private inner courtyard with an over-sized entry door, tile patio, and a colorful custom water feature to create an intimate gathering space. The backyard redesign included a small pool with spa addition (pictured here), fireplace, shade structures and built in wall fountain.

The "Luster of the Pearl” combined the allure of clean lines and redefined traditional silhouettes with texture and opulence. The color palette was fashion-inspired with unexpected color combinations like smokey violet and tiger-eye gold backed with metallic and warm neutrals.
Our design included cosmetic reconstruction of the fireplace, mosaic tile improvements to the kitchen, artistic custom wall finishes, and introduced new materials to the Portland market.

Established in 1895 as a warehouse for the spice trade, 481 Washington was built to last. With its 25-inch-thick base and enchanting Beaux Arts facade, this regal structure later housed a thriving Hudson Square printing company. After an impeccable renovation, the magnificent loft building’s original arched windows and exquisite cornice remain a testament to the grandeur of days past. Perfectly anchored between Soho and Tribeca, Spice Warehouse has been converted into 12 spacious full-floor lofts that seamlessly fuse Old World character with modern convenience. Steps from the Hudson River, Spice Warehouse is within walking distance of renowned restaurants, famed art galleries, specialty shops and boutiques. With its golden sunsets and outstanding facilities, this is the ideal destination for those seeking the tranquil pleasures of the Hudson River waterfront.
Expansive private floor residences were designed to be both versatile and functional, each with 3 to 4 bedrooms, 3 full baths, and a home office. Several residences enjoy dramatic Hudson River views.
This open space has been designed to accommodate a perfect Tribeca city lifestyle for entertaining, relaxing and working.
This living room design reflects a tailored “old world” look, respecting the original features of the Spice Warehouse. With its high ceilings, arched windows, original brick wall and iron columns, this space is a testament of ancient time and old world elegance.
The master bathroom was designed with tradition in mind and a taste for old elegance. it is fitted with a fabulous walk in glass shower and a deep soaking tub.
The pedestal soaking tub and Italian carrera marble metal legs, double custom sinks balance classic style and modern flair.
The chosen tiles are a combination of carrera marble subway tiles and hexagonal floor tiles to create a simple yet luxurious look.

Designed for a 1930s Portland, OR home, this kitchen remodel aims for a clean, timeless sensibility without sacrificing the space to generic modernism. Cherry cabinets, Ice Stone countertops and Heath tile add texture and variation in an otherwise sleek, pared down design. A custom built-in bench works well for eat-in breakfasts. Period reproduction lighting, Deco pulls, and a custom formica table root the kitchen to the origins of the home.

Taking the elements of the traditional 1929 bathroom as a spring board, this bathroom’s design asserts that modern interiors can live beautifully within a conventional backdrop. While paying homage to the work-a-day bathroom, the finished room successfully combines modern sophistication and whimsy. The familiar black and white tile clad bathroom was re-envisioned utilizing a custom mosaic tile, updated fixtures and fittings, an unexpected color palette, state of the art light fixtures and bold modern art. The original dressing area closets, given a face lift with new finish and hardware, were the inspiration for the new custom vanity - modern in concept, but incorporating the grid detail found in the original casework.
