This beautiful 1940's brick bungalow was given a fresh new look with an exterior makeover that included a redesigned, covered front porch, and a new garage facade, complete with carriage garage doors.
Unique details include copper gutters and partial roof, a custom stone gate entrance to the private yard, and outdoor Coach lighting.

Jennifer A. Emmer/Feng Shui Style
We painted the exterior of this home in Saratoga, CA. It was built in 1947 and had a traditional feel to it. We went with a cheery yellow (Glidden "Jonquil").
We painted the front door Benjamin Moore "Heritage Red", and the trim Behr "Divine Pleasure". We also used Benjamin Moore "Chrome Green" to outline the windows. The colors we chose pumped up the Feng Shui for the clients. The home faced South (Fire/Fame), so painting the front door red pumped up the reputation of the owners. See the photos for more information.

Inspired by the architecture of Sir Edwin Lutyens, the concept for this home was to develop details more consistent with this romantic style and integrate the architecture with the English garden landscape of the property. The home had a series of incongruous additions in a variety of architecture styles, detail and proportions. The exterior of the home was renovated in improve the proportions and roof line and to add depth to the facade. The deep overhangs, bracket elements, half-timbering with brick infill and dovecote detailing create interesting light and shadow contrast on the facades.
