I bought a canyon crest home and had an inspection done 16 months later on the new build and every single post under the house is having to be straightened and additional posts added because all the posts are failing as the house has settled. This was a major structural concern. The inspector said these things can take over a year to appear. I sent the inspection report to the builder assuming he would take responsibility for a poor structure job but his only comment was “you are outside of the one year”. Wow. I have never heard of a “luxury” builder not caring at all about the quality of workmanship or their reputation. I’ve had to hire a contractor to fix the job and even the contractor said this should have been fixed by the builder as its poor original workmanship. Unbelievable. Do not use this builder. I know 2 other people who bought a canyon crest home and also did not appreciate this builder. Stay away he doesn’t care about building a solid house or doing the right thing for clients.

Working with Dave and his Canyon Crest team has been an amazing experience! He was very helping in answering any questions/concerns we had throughout the building process in a very timely manner. We had a few specific requests, that ended up changing the floorplan, and he was extremely supportive and helpful in making those changes for us. He also provides an interior designer to help make selections and that really made all the difference! We were able to put our "dream home" vision into reality with the help of an expert who guided us through everything. Dave was also extremely accurate on his completion timeline, so we were able to plan our move without any delays. In addition, we were out of state during construction and didn't see our home until the final walk-through and there were many "pleasant surprises" that we didn't even know about (examples include stairway lighting, gas hookups for grill, central vac hookups, etc). He is very thoughtful and thinks of how people will use their homes for everyday life and builds the perfect home to suit those needs. We couldn't be happier with him, his contractors and the materials he uses. He doesn't skimp on anything and it shows! There are a few homes in our neighborhood, built by other builders and we can definitely tell the difference in quality, design and materials. We did have a few minor issues to work through (as is common in new construction homes) and he has been thorough, timely and efficient in resolving them. We are so happy with our home and our experience with Canyon Crest Homes!

We have had a positive experience using Canyon Crest Homes as first time home builders. Dave was responsive to our questions and concerns throughout the building process. We felt like quality materials and construction practices were used throughout without shortcuts. We were able to design our full custom home and are happy with the process and outcome.

Dave Wipper and Canyon Crest Homes, customer service is superior... with all new houses there were minor issues. Dave is a hands on builder, no problem was too small for him to get involved. We absolutely love our house built by Canyon Crest homes. It turned out better than we expected even though we had high expectations! There are not too many builders who make modern homes here in Boise but Dave knocked it out of the park.
