“Donna, Allan, and their architectural support team are amazingly and refreshingly personal, creative, professional, and responsive. They were able to take an old 70s ranch with all its oddities and convert it into a new craftsman style home. They listened carefully over many conferences to come up with a creative design, worked within our budget to get us what we needed, revised and revised patiently to get it perfect, and then followed up with on the job supervision and sometimes substantive changes on the fly, including invaluable help with the governmental review process. They all worked so well with our construction crew, who had their cell numbers for on the spot questions about plans or problems, of which, one can imagine, there were many. Thanks to Donna's architectural design (the neighbors are truly in awe of the front elevation and interior transformation), Allan's meticulously drafted plans (the city review board and fire teams said they had never seen such meticulous detail), and the respectful collaboration with all involved (we are all still talking to each other after what ended up being a tedious, four year project), we now have the transformed home we wanted when we started: solid as a rock and nearly soundproof, aesthetically consistent with the older parts of the house, and the openness, light, and functionality of a new home, even if it all drove Donna and Allan crazy sometimes trying to get it for us! They did it all with a smile, and with exceptional professionalism. They certainly went the distance for us, and are just an awesome team. They have my highest recommendation as an architectural firm.”

Jerry was unbelievable in his helping us through this long and arduous process. He had an uncanny ability to really understand our practice and to design our state-of-the-art office to the point where we still get compliments on a daily basis of how it looks. His workflow design from the employees view is equally as impressive. His willingness to meet with us and make changes showed his desire to achieve perfection as well as be sure we were satisfied with everything. I have the office now of which I've always dreamed. “"After a long search we found Jane Ann. It was our lucky day! We were in hopes of designing a home you didn't see in St. Louis everyday. What we wanted was more of a European look, something you would find in the countryside of Italy or France or in Carmel, California. Jane Ann had not done a home exactly like we had envisioned, but what she had done, were unusual homes, that answered the specific vision of her clients. By looking at her portfolio, we knew she didn't have one style, but the ability to be OPEN MINDED and to LISTEN to client's ideas and to be able to bring those ideas to life. Jane Ann is the consummate professional. She is a great listener, practical in her approach, a great designer, and a good referee when two spouses don't see eye-to-eye. She has the ability to let you know your ideas have been heard, and that she will do all she can to make your vision a reality. “I have worked with Architect Randall Comfort for over twenty years now. Since the summer of 1993 my company has completed numerous construction projects that were designed by Randall and each experience was nothing less than professional. Randall possesses a unique creative talent that I find rare in this cookie cutter age of design and construction. I have worked with other design firms and found that they often fall short when it comes to creativity. Not only has my company worked directly for Randall's clients but I have also employed Comfort Architecture in a design-build capacity on many occasions. Randall always provides very detailed complete sets of working drawings that make my job as a contractor easier. Many of the local muni- cipalities I work in recognize the quality of his work and the permitting process is often expedited. One last note regarding Randall's services. His customers and my company have used and bene- fited from incorporating a schematic design phase into the project. A qualified contractor can often provide preliminary pricing to help create a sound budget before the construction drawing process begins.
