Koroknay Design

Stephen Koroknay, who has over 30 years experience in the architectural and interior design fields, is behind the design firm Koroknay Design. We provide exciting and thorough building and interior design concepts and architectural illustrations. Beautifully proportioned, well organized spaces and fine materials, are also desired characteristics in private residential projects. Mr. Koroknay has spent 11 years studying architecture and working with renowned investors, developers and architects, on many urban scale projects in Europe, where the discipline of design was invented. In addition to being an accomplished architectural illustrator, Mr. Koroknay also understands the importance of drawing to the design process, cost estimation and building permit approval procurement. He has gathered a wealth of experience during his 6 year sojourn in Berlin, the largest construction site in the Western hemisphere, in the wake of momentous political and economic changes there, just after the collapse of the Berlin Wall. We strive to be a seminal design firm, practicing innovative and conceptual design, starting from first principles, rather than acquiescing in merely harvesting and transferring images out of European and Japanese design magazines, as some local Canadian firms do. A unique style and philosophy of design should be developed and cultivated, for us here in Canada.
