“My wife and I wanted to replace our ageing 20 year old cedar deck in our backyard. So we contacted Kevin Monohan, co-owner of Avalon NW Landscaping, and our neighbor up the street. The design effort was truly a collaborative process, which we liked. We met with him 4 or 5 times throughout the process to conceptualize and to come up with a design about the layout, the hardscapes, the plantings, and the timing and execution of the plans. Kevin always encouraged us to give our ideas for the patio. It was always a joy meeting with Kevin. “We hired Rock Solid to do a fairly extensive construction and landscaping project on a new home that we were building. Some friends of our recommended Rock Solid and we were so pleased with their work that we have also recommended them to several of our friends. As part of the project, they installed an irrigation system (particularly hard given multiple levels of retaining walls they had to bore through), improved the drainage in the back yard, built a custom fire pit, installed pavers (very meticulously done to line up perfectly), and completed all of the planting. I should also add that we were having 50 guests visiting our home the night before our wedding and Wade and his team went far and above the call of duty to get the job done on a very tight timeline (literally putting on the finishing touches just a few hours before the party started).
