I am an expert in 17th, 18th & 19th century antique furniture. I am an artisan and craftsman, I love gorgeous wood, fine antiques and beautiful objects. I restore and sell fine antiques, most are world class and of museum quality. I have an eagle eye for beauty, detail in both the items I choose to acquire, as well as the pieces I choose to restore. Most clients upon seeing the pieces I have for sale or their own piece expertly restored say something to the effect of "Wow", "You are an artist" and "Amazing" I hear this over and over from my clients & have many letters to that effect. I love wowing clients with beautiful showpieces, whether it's a piece of theirs I restore to full glory, or a piece they purchase from me. It gives me great joy & deep satisfaction knowing my pieces grace their homes and offices and will provide years of pleasure! If you desire world class antiques and restoration services you have come to the right place. All the best, Bryan........my phone 847.917.8703 My clients are very discriminating and want the best. I am a professional artist, represent by 4 galleries across the US - New York, Chicago, Columbus, OH, Atlanta, GA and online at www.DougFrohman.com/Particles.html, Saatchi.com, Friedman Fine Arts and more. I was exhibited at 6 major US Art Fairs including Art Basel Miami in 2016-17. My style is contemporary geometric abstraction and my goal is creating works that blend mystery and drama, balancing color, ambient space and form in dynamic combinations. Something collectors of my work have often said is "Every time I look at your work, I see something different." People often ask when I know a work is done. For me, it has to have what Jasper Johns called, "a Sense of Life", that it can stand on its own as an independent, living creation.
I work abstractly at the juncture where sculpture and painting intersect. The process for my current series begins by printing acrylic monotypes onto recycled medical diagnostic film (X-Ray/MRI film). The film is then torn apart and the shards are reconnected into new configurations using thousands of staples. The process yields large, shimmering, wall-hanging pieces that are semi-translucent and slightly dimensional. They have shown across the U.S. and in Europe.
