“We hired Rae Packard as our kitchen designer. Her husband, John, is the master cabinet maker and handles the installations of the cabinets and countertops. They are highly experienced professionals and their advice is invaluable. During our meetings, the focus was completely on the project and every detail was worked out from beginning to end. For example, the position and purpose of each cabinet/drawer/appliance/light, etc., is worked out on paper drawings in advance. They have wood/tile/hardware samples on site, which we found helpful as we considered various options. They also have a wealth of contacts (e.g., general contractor, marble places, appliance places, fixtures, etc.) that they have cultivated over time and that they shared with us as needed. All of their referrals were gold. The Packards worked in a timely manner and they responded to all questions and requests. In summary, if we had to do our kitchen all over again, we would call the Packards.”

The kitchen is the heart of a home, is where we get nourishment and congregate. So we decided to start with the kitchen, of course. “Ed Konopka of Edko Cabinets designed, and he and his team built, a series of custom kitchen cabinets that are beyond what we could have envisioned. The design phase was a series of meetings discussing thoughts and reviewing renderings. Refinements were made until we were satisfied that this was what we wanted. Throughout this process, Ed offered his advice based on his years of experience, ideas that we had not considered, suggestions to offer us greater versatility and ease of use, along with an easy going personality that made the process actually fun and a creative experience for us all (at least that is the way he made us feel). The tear out was done in a day and the installation in two. How measurements can be taken in my home and over 25 connecting cabinets and drawers built and then installed with less than an eighth of an inch to the end of a wall is amazing to us. Ed’s work is beautiful. The attention to detail, finishing, & crown molding (which he cut on site by eye without a calculator or other technical instrument in sight and his suggestions all look and more importantly work like a fine watch. As you might suspect, this review was a pleasure to write. I cannot suggest Ed Konopka and Edko Cabinets more strongly.”

He went above and beyond to ensure that the finished look was perfect and to be sure that we had the best materials and they were used in the smartest way. The detail on our kitchen was complicated, requiring large sheets of walnut to be labeled and sequenced in order to create a seamless finish. Len made this vision a reality and we love it.”

“Had a complete kitchen overhaul. New cabinets - layout- appliances etc. Fantastic company to deal with from the owner Alex - down to Amanda in the office. They have master craftsmen who do their install. My kitchen had quite a few challenges with beams and crown moldings. I don't know what was better the price ( which came in $12,000 cheaper than any other kitchen company for custom cabinetry! ) or the professional install. Highly recommend!!”
