“Dino, owner of Berkeley Woodworks, is a skilled furniture maker with a keen sense of style and and eye for beauty in design. We worked with him initially, to design a bedroom set that would mirror the style of our mid century modern house, built in the Eichler style. We knew we were interested in walnut, but beyond that, the pieces were designed by Dino in close consultation about details, with us. We ordered a platform bed and headboard, 2 side tables, a jtansu, and a large double dresser. Throughout the construction process, Dino contacted us to clarify detail questions. On several occasions we were invited to his workshop to consider a design element. The project was finished on time, and within our budget. It was professionally delivered and installed without incident. We are very pleased with the quality and design of our furniture. Guests to our home frequently want to know about where our bedroom furniture came from, thinking they may have seen it in architectural magazines. We hired Dino to make 2 other pieces for our home- in our den, a built in bookcase made out of cherry, and in our living room, another walnut piece; a multi use end table/book shelf. These are also sources of pride and satisfaction to us. We were so happy with our furniture, that when our daughter remodeled her Victorian style home and needed a built in desk and shelving to complement her homes detailed 19th century woodwork, Dino was hired.
