Yes, the process did take some time, but to be fair—our demands and expectations were high. Shawn and his team executed everything with great attention to detail and care. The results speak for themselves. We’re very happy with how everything turned out and are excited to finally enjoy our new home. After interviewing several builders, we selected Shawn Sidoti and Alleanza Custom Homes for our custom home project, and I'm incredibly glad we did. Shawn demonstrated the professionalism, craftsmanship, and integrity that you hope for in a builder but don't always find. What impressed me most about Shawn was his commitment to quality and attention to detail. He maintained exceptionally high standards throughout the build and wasn't satisfied unless the work met those standards. When certain finishes didn't meet his expectations--including flooring that he had replaced at his own cost--he made it right without hesitation. He also worked closely with our architect to propose creative design solutions that elevated the final product, bringing both technical expertise and an aesthetic eye to the project. Shawn's communication style made the entire process smoother. He was flexible and accommodating with my preferred methods of communication, and his team used BuilderTrend to provide regular updates, which was invaluable since I wasn't always on-site. His staff, particularly Carlos, was professional, respectful, and solution-oriented. Even now during the warranty period, Shawn remains responsive and addresses any issues promptly. Like any major construction project, there were occasional challenges-including some delays from a window supplier-but Shawn handled them professionally and prioritized getting things done right over rushing to meet deadlines. Our family absolutely loves the home. Shawn assembled a team of skilled subcontractors who shared his commitment to quality work, and it shows in the finished product. I would recommend Shawn and Alleanza Custom Homes without reservation to anyone considering a custom build, and I'd gladly work with him again on future projects!

We have just finished working with the Alleanza team on an extensive home renovation project (> 8 months) and could not be happier. Like all home projects there were twists, turns and a few surprises. However for all phases of the project ( from planning to punch list ) we felt that we were treated fairly, honestly and whenever there was an issue, it was raised quickly, discussed and then we could work as a team with Alleanza to achieve the best outcome for our project. Shawn is a thoughtful and creative individual; he was always willing to consider different approaches to achieve success. Whenever there were bumps in the road, we always came to a compromise between the parties to do the right thing for the project and not just meet his goals. We completed a really complex renovation on time and on budget, which is rare! We love the outcome and couldn’t be happier in our new home… The quality of his contractors and subcontractor was extremely high and overall I felt I was in good hands. The finishes his team delivered were exceptional yet at a very reason cost… I also really appreciated Shawn’s ability and willingness to source and use lower cost alternates where it made sense ( after explaining the trades we were making and discussing the compromises that were on offer!)At no point in the project did I feel that I was given no option! Its also worth noting that his project management tools and budgeting / cost tracking/ invoicing approach provided real time visibility throughout the project so that there were no surprises and everyone was on the same page, nearly all of the time!! Overall an excellent experience and I couldn’t recommend him and his team more highly…

We reached out to Shawn with Alleanza Custom homes to bid out our major home remodeling project after our initial builder defrauded us and left us hanging. From the very beginning Shawn was a true professional. He worked with us, listened to our needs and was very accommodating in trying to pick up where things had been left from the previous builder. In all our interactions we found Shawn to be a man of his word, dependable and always very responsive. Unfortunately we weren’t able to secure the necessary funds from our bank and decided to manage the project ourselves. The way they organized and managed such a massive undertaking with so many moving pieces was so impressive. We are very detail-oriented folks when it comes to our home, and the Alleanza team handled all of our requests with grace. They explained various options for things we were considering until all of our questions were answered. There seems to be a commonality amongst people that have built with Alleanza; we all are very happy with their work and with their team. As others have pointed out, Shawn (owner) is honest and fair. He truly aims to build a solid and beautiful home for you. He sat with us through our architectural meetings (which I’d highly recommend) and subsequently collaborated with the architect and designer throughout construction. As one would expect, while building a custom home there were hiccups, curveballs, and a few tough conversations along the way; Shawn and his jobsite supervisor, Juan, handled it impressively. They really did go above and beyond to execute on the plan and always do the right thing. One item that stuck out in my mind was when the driveway concrete was to be poured. We wanted our children’s handprints to be in the concrete, however we were away on vacation when all of this was happening. Instead of carrying forward with the schedule, Shawn and Juan made it a point to hold off on that one part until we made it home. Talk about a “custom” touch! I’m not a homebuilder, but I did visit the jobsite every single day during construction, and I will attest that things are just as nice inside the walls as they are on the outside. They do not cut corners and on the couple things that did happen to slip through the cracks, they came back and made it right. I can’t express how impressed I am by this. I’ll be the first one to admit that I’m a tough person to please, but Alleanza nailed it. They have integrity, skill, and bluntly stated, they build nice homes. I would now consider Shawn and Juan our friends; I would certainly build another home with Alleanza, and hopefully have them over to a BBQ in the meantime.

Shawn and Carlos are great. They walked us through the process and made the experience as pleasant as possible. Building a custom home is a process that requires patience. Do your due diligence and pick the builder you feel you can work with when all parties are frustrated. Shawn helped us when things went different from plan. Walked through solutions and helped with suggestions that were cost effective. We trusted Alleanza, Shawn and Carlos to put us in the best position during this crazy process. And it was well worth it. Plus they don’t disappear once the home is built. Find what group works best for you. For our family it was Alleanza!!

Shawn and Juan were excellent to work with, from project management to client care - they are the best. Down to earth, so make clients feel at ease and they are extremely knowledgable. I'm an interior designer and referred Alleanza to my clients, and it was the best decision. They've been responsive, professional, and all around wonderful to work with. This review is long overdue. We built our dream home with Shawn and the Alleanza team – and every day for the past two+ years that we have been living in this home, we are grateful for how amazing it is. Every. Single. Day. We love everything about our home, every room. It was worth the wait, the ups and downs, the delays – all normal items when building a custom home. The one item we will single Shawn out for is this: he will stick with you and he will be fair. He will see things through, and he will use reason and good judgement in difficult times, always standing by you so you feel supported. I know friends and family members who have had horrific experiences building custom homes, but that was not our experience. We would build again with Shawn, without any hesitation, and would highly (highly) recommend him and his team to anyone building a custom home. Further, we consider Shawn and his team to be part of our family now. I believe this is common in the Alleanza family of homeowners, but not common elsewhere. A couple of other points worth calling out: Shawn worked very well with our architect and our designer – it was a perfect triangle of artists and creators who in many cases can easily butt heads. Yes, there were strong opinions here and there, but everyone worked very well with each other, respectfully and professionally – it was a dream team. Second, Alleanza’s framers and foundation team – both – are beyond rock solid. We had a pool table installed upstairs. The team has been installing pool tables in high end homes for over 30 years. We were told all tables require a “shim” upon installation to even out the table so that everything is level. When they got to our installation, there was no “shim” required. The team told us this was the first house they had ever installed a second floor pool table where the floor was perfectly level. A big shout out to those crews on Shawn’s team! Overall, we support a 5 star rating for Shawn and his team – and our house supports it as well.

Shawn and Carlos were great to work with throughout the entire process of building our custom home. The Alleanza team is professional, honest, and always follows through on their commitments (100%! - before or after your move in). The team worked tirelessly to get us in by our target date. If we had any concerns, they went the extra mile to make sure everything was correct even if we tore a few things up!! It wasn't just about the inside of our home either. The team worked with the custom pool designer, landscaper, and artificial turf crew for our soccer ready back yard. You dream it and they can deliver it!

I bought a house newly built by Alleanza. I've bought homes on spec before, and built custom, and I can say confidently that the build quality on this Alleanza house is fantastic. Shawn and his crew also did modification for me prior to move in. Shawn and his workers are professional, timely and responsive. I would definitely use him as a GC in future for a custom home or renovations. I especially want to call out the custom carpentry, which is amazing and far exceeds typical builder quality work.

This was the second time working with Shawn and the Alleanza team building a custom home. The team is extremely trustworthy and can take on even the most complex projects. We used a different architect the second time around (George Allen Cole - who is awesome!) and Alleanza did a great job incorporating every last detail from the plans. They are always up front about challenges and are quick to provide solutions. They always follow through and even after move-in, they go above and beyond to deliver a top notch experience. We can fully recommend Shawn and his team at Alleanza for two main reasons: Communication and Integrity. You don't have to worry about not being able to reach anybody for a week, or about being taken advantage of, or getting the run-around. Shawn is extremely open and transparent and will do everything in his power to keep any promises that he made, even if it is just a conversation. He really kept his word on everything we ever discussed. This is not only true during the building process but even years later. Shawn immediately took care of some warranty items, long after we made our final payment. And when 3.5 years after building our power went out due to an underground cable issue, Shawn responded within 10 minutes to our text and had the electrical contractor replace the underground cable within 36 hours, even though ultimately it turned out it was not a warranty issue at all and some other builders might have responded with "sorry, out of warranty, not my problem". Building a house is always stressful. As we learned after talking with other people who built with different builders, we were incredibly lucky that we had chosen a builder who would listen to us, always respond to our texts and phone calls and that we could trust fully knowing that he is an honest business man who is doing what he can to get us into our house on budget on time and make us happy. We love our home and want to thank Shawn and the entire Alleanza team for making this dream of ours a reality.

Alleanza did a tremendous job in executing our vision. Alleanza was great in structuring the project that allowed us to make real time design decisions that gave us the ability to craft the perfect home. With all projects, there were challenges but Alleanza always ended up doing what was right for the customer.

Alleanza is the only team I'd build a home with. They will build a truly custom house exactly as you want it. During construction, I always knew that Shawn Sidoti and Juan Perez would address any concern or problem carefully and thoughtfully, and maybe in Sharpie sketches on the subflooring! If I was slow to realize I cared about an issue, Shawn and Juan were always supportive of late changes. I _never_ felt dismissed. Even though our home was completed in November 2020, Shawn kindly checked on us in the middle of Snowpocalypse 2021. Coincidentally, when he called, I was just facing the question of why the generator had stopped after two days. Shawn was there within an hour for an easy fix, and we were warm again. Extraordinary care! These guys are kind, considerate and trustworthy. Thank you, Alleanza, for our beautiful home!

We purchased an Alleanza home that was built spec. As the possibility of making a deal became real, I searched and found overwhelmingly positive reviews. It is with great enthusiasm that we endorse Alleanza Custom Homes, Shawn Sidoti and his team. After our home was flooded by hurricane Harvey in August of 2017, we found ourselves in immediate need of major repairs and renovations. In the midst of labor shortages and home builder pricing skyrocketing, Shawn proved to be the calm in the eye of the storm, presenting a clear path to recovery and at a very fair price. It was quickly obvious that he absolutely knows his trade, which we also confirmed directly with prior clients. And of utmost importance, Shawn’s integrity, communication and follow-through was vastly superior to any other builder we have dealt with in the past 30 years. As with all fast-track projects, multiple design changes and construction change orders come with the territory. And these are the homeowner’s biggest fear. In every instance, Shawn provided valuable analysis, alternative solutions, sensitivity to budget and sound counsel on the optimal solution. As a result, we fully understood the options and pricing needs. At no time did we ever feel we we’re being taken advantage of nor our trust abused. In short, we would hire Shawn again in heartbeat. To that end, we are already doing so for upstairs renovations. We readily refer Shawn to our friends and neighbors without hesitation.

Flooding is not for sissys! Hurricane Harvey unexpectedly flooded our house and we were set on the daunting task of gutting our entire floor first, finding a builder and rebuilding. Thousands of other Houstonians were doing the same thing. Luckily we found Alleanza Custom Homes. The team at Alleanza, namely Shawn and Steve, made that nightmare of a year much more bearable. They were professional, patient and kind hearted. Every crew did a phenomenal job. Steve went above and beyond on many occasions to make sure things went smoothly. I would highly recommend Alleanza.

Building a home for a licensed home inspector and my wife, who is a Realtor, would have to be one of the most challenging projects for any builder. Shawn and his team, Carlos and Belly, were great to work with from start to finish. The home building process involves so many decisions. We built our dream 4,000+ sq ft custom home (modern/transitional) with Alleanza in Oak Forest in 2017. Shawn and his team - special shout out to Carlos - were an absolute pleasure to work with throughout the planning, construction and post move in phase. During the planning stages, they were able to take take our vision and give us crucial advice to realize this vision while sticking to our budget. Building a custom home can be quite complex and stressful, but throughout the construction Shawn was able to make the small decisions for us, while finding the right times to get our inputs. He's only able to do that because he truly gets to know the family moving into the home - something just isn't there with the some of the more cookie cutter custom homes that get built in Houston. He and his team were always accessible and super easy to communicate with. Finally, I would add that during our search for a builder (which was quite vigorous) Alleanza is one of the few home builders that could build any style of home - from contemporary, to craftsman, tuscan, etc. When looking at their previous projects, you can tell that they've pretty much "been there, done that" with all styles of homes you could think up. Our family couldn't be happier and love living in our new home (which we moved into 3 months ago)!

Alleanza Custom Homes did all the repairs to my home after the Hurricane Harvey flood destroyed it. Every facet of reconstruction was completed in an extremely professional manner with a high degree of attention to detail. The crews doing the work (drywall, painting, cabinets, electrical, etc) have been working with Alleanza for a long period of time. They were not "fly by night" crews picked up at a local Home Depot. Therefore, the quality of their work was based upon years of experience and training. Steve, a reconstruction Supervisor was assigned to my home. He was always available for any issues or problems that naturally arise during a reconstruction project. I heartily recommend Alleanza Custom Homes for any construction needs. I am also available to personally discuss their work ethics and quality on a "face to face" conversation and open my home for your inspection.

Shawn and the Alleanza team helped us rebuild and renovate our home after Hurricane Harvey. My wife and I had a great experience building with Alleanza Custom Homes and we highly recommend Shawn and his team. It doesn’t get much better than ‘On Time and Under Budget’! I found Alleanza to be right-sized for handling several custom projects at once, but not so big to get overextended with too many crews/superintendents where the personal touches are lost. One year into trying to find our perfect home we decided to look into building custom. Shawn was referred to us from a friend and we also met him at one of his previous open houses. Shawn spent over one year with us trying to find the perfect lot. He went out of his way and visited multiple lots with us until we ultimately agreed on one that fit our budget, location and size requirements. Once we selected the lot Shawn referred us to Allen Irvin, his ‘go-to’ architect. Al and Shawn have established a very good working relationship and stewarded us through our first custom house build. During the House build Shawn never missed a beat, he guided us through the process and assisted us in our decision making when we were having trouble. My wife and I selected Shawn because we felt we had a lot in common with him, including small children. On a number of occasions during the build Shawn was forthright and honest in providing us opinion on key aspects of building a “kid friendly” home with a large mud room, master bedroom upstairs, segregated granny suite, an extensive series of custom built-in cabinetry as well as an outdoor space that extended the entertainment area in the interior of the house. Shaun was extremely attentive and accommodating to us as first time home builders set on designing the ‘perfect house’ including daily site walk through, frequent calls on interior design issues and ideas including design of specialized crown molding and custom cabinetry stains. Shaun and his team were able to react quickly to small changes throughout the build process including dog accommodations, custom waterfall island design and a custom table for our kitchen nook. This customer focused mentality from Alleanza made for a great house build experience and even 6 months after we continue to be in contact with Shaun and his team as the house shifts and settles on new improvements. Our customer house build process was a true partnership with Alleanza builders who were flexible, honest and above all practical and forthcoming with our investment, for our family. Additionally, he provided key resources/advice to us through the sale/rental and subsequent Harvey remediation efforts of our previous property. We continue to be impressed with the network of families/supporters that Shaun/Alleanza builds with the completion of each new home. He works hard at maintaining relationships across his customers including invitations to new open houses, key information on changes to the local community associations and even thoughtful gifts/card over the holiday seasons as a show of his appreciation. If I ever build a custom home again, Shaun/Carlos/Alleanza will continue to be our focal engagement.

We purchaed our home from Alleanza in January 2014 and saw it through to completion in July 2014. During the whole process Shawn and his team were first rate and delivered an excellent product. The thought and design that went into our house was outstanding resulting in a very functional space where the entire family can gather. The finish was of the highest quality and we constantly get compliments on our home. What was equally impressive was Shawns responsivness when we had issues (not that there were many). He took complete ownership and gave us the impression that he really cared about his customers. Sadly we are leaving for pastures new but the biggest compliment came from my wife when she said to me "I wish we could just put this house on a truck and take it with us to Portland". I thouroughly reccomend Alleanza!

Alleanza did a fantastic job with building our custom home. Both Shawn and Carlos are very personable and easy to work with. When we ran into a challenge, they were creative with coming up with solutions that would solve the issue. Carlos took the lead on building our house and was very attentive and quick to respond to text messages, phone calls and emails. They were also very courteous to our neighbors, always available. The inspections all went well and we love our new house!

Working with the Alleanza team made building our house an enjoyable/fun experience! My husband and I purchased a lot with a tear down on it in June 2015 and started our search for a builder. We spoke with many builders, but Shawn stood out from the rest in his customer service approach, and really understood our vision of wanting a nice house but not wanting to overbuild (too much) for the neighborhood. Throughout the project he gave great advice on where we could get the bests value for our money. We broke ground in March 2016 and throughout the process Shawn and his team kept us informed on progress and addressed any/all questions and concerns. I really appreciated that most concerns I raised they were already on top of! If I did bring up something they weren't already working, there was no fighting over if it was a problem or not, just conversation on how to fix it and transparent conversation on options/cost involved. During the project we developed a high level of trust, which eliminated so much stress! The project was completed in November 2016, which was well within the targeted schedule and also within the budget they had provided. We used a reimbursable contract type (as opposed to fixed price), and I was very satisfied with the budget provided and explanations for deviations from it. Shawn really understood our vision, which provided great collaboration. There were a lot of things I had strong opinions on and drove decisions on, but others that I wasn't passionate about and was looking for suggestions on. They were very open to using new materials/vendors to meet my vision (weathered copper look metal roof, large walnut wood island, concrete counter tops, SS counter in outdoor kitchen, cement tile, etc.). On the flip side, Shawn always had great suggestions on finishing touches that I wouldn't have thought of such as keypad lock for back gate, matching backsplash for concrete counter top in bathroom from tile used on back patio, finish detail of base boards, outdoor kitchen sink/faucet, modular closets in kids rooms, etc. Overall, I would highly recommend working with Alleanza Custom Homes! Before starting this project, I had heard so many scary stories about building a house, but we really enjoyed the process and I think that the great job Alleanza did was a major contributor to this!

In 2013, my wife and I decided to build our dream home on our existing lot in Garden Oaks. We interviewed several local builders and chose Alleanza Custom Homes. After moving back from overseas, we needed to move into a home fairly quickly to get our kids into a school. We looked at a number of homes and settled on 1324 Althea. There were many choices in the area, but the home built by Shawn (Alleanza) was far and away our best option. The architecture was very unique with great features such as extensive interior brick work and large wooden beams framing a beautiful kitchen. The house was built with usability in mind... for example, the kitchen windows open up with hinges on one side, making it easy to pass disses from the indoor kitchen to the outdoor kitchen. Another example is a shower head on the back porch... perfect for cleaning off kids after a dip in the pool. The quality of the home is very high. There are many great built-in features that we use routinely (including large closet cabinets and safety lighting on the stairs). Shawn goes the extra mile to think about the common sense items people will enjoy. Last, Shawn also took great efforts to complete touch-ups as needed for any brand new house. We are quite happy to have bought the home from Alleanza.

In 2014, my wife and I acquired a lot with a “tear-down” house in the Garden Oaks subdivision of Houston. Our realtor gave us a list of contractors engaged in home construction in that area, one of which was Alleanza Custom Homes. We toured a home that had recently been completed by Alleanza (we were very impressed) and then met with Alleanza’s Shawn Sidoti. We decided right then that Alleanza would be our contractor. Construction of a new custom home is a long process, involving literally hundreds of decisions by the homeowner. Throughout this process, the Alleanza team was always available to offer advice and support. Initially, they handled demolition of the existing “tear-down” house and helped us select an architect to design the home. Shawn reviewed all of the plans prepared by the architect and offered several suggestions to improve the final product. Upon completion of the architectural plans, the Alleanza team obtained the necessary engineering and foundation plans and the required building permits. The Alleanza team provided us with a list of recommended subcontractors for things like tile, plumbing fixtures, door and cabinet hardware, lighting fixtures, countertops, carpeting, and landscaping. However, in several instances (e.g., tile, plumbing fixtures, door and cabinet hardware, and landscaping) we decided to use other subcontractors of whom we were aware. In all cases, the Alleanza team worked very well with the subcontractors we selected, and we are very pleased with the results. Overall, we believe the Alleanza team deserves highest marks for honesty, integrity, reliability, and flexibility. The quality of the final product is excellent, and we are very pleased with our new home. Without reservation, we recommend the Alleanza team to anyone who is looking construct a new custom home.

We were clients of Alleanza Custom Homes from summer of 2014 to the completion of our house in early fall of 2015. We've loved every aspect of working with Alleanza and our custom home has turned out much better than we ever hoped. Here's why: - Shawn McGregor is a great custom home builder: he manages the project extremely well, is able to plan around disruptions, knows when to bring the appropriate amount of detail into conversation over a year+ long project, and genuinely cares for the quality of the final product that he builds. There were quite a few moments during a construction where Shawn insisted we redo something that didn't meet his standards even though it did not bother my wife and me that much. Throughout the entire project, we never felt we were compromising quality or taking shortcuts, and we both learned to trust Shawn's input in our decision making process. - As odd as that might sound on a high end custom home, we felt building with Alleanza was a great value: Shawn often suggested selections that would save money but not compromise the overall look and quality that a project of this price range requires. Having hired contractors before, we thought some of his subs did very good work for the price they were charging. In the end, our project ended up under budget, which we thought was not possible in this business. - Alleanza's approach to the home warranty period is also a huge benefit. Towards the end of our construction process, I started getting nervous about building a bulletproof punch list to ensure every item is completed to our satisfaction before we complete the contract and our builder "disappears". Luckily, I managed to talk to one of Alleanza's previous customers who told me Alleanza has been regularly back to his house to adjust and fix things for a long time after they moved in. We found this to be true for us as well: in the 9 months after moving in, I've interacted with Shawn on a monthly and sometimes weekly basis: his guys were at our house adjusting things and making changes that we would have never found without being able to actually live in the house. Having our builder stick around after we move in was a huge advantage: we were able to create a much better punch list and tune the house to our liking after actually living here. We contacted Shawn at Allenaza when we noticed several of his houses being built in our neighborhood that attracted our attention.
