Crossroads Contracting, LLC
Kitchen Remodelers in Hillsborough
Average rating: 5 out of 5 starsDecember 15, 2016
“After a year of searching for the right people to replace our attached carport we were happy to find Crossroads Contracting. From the first meeting with the project manager ( Nick), we could see that this was going to be a positive experience. Nick worked with us to design something that was both structurally superior and surprisingly affordable. In fact, we were so impressed with the workmanship that we hired them again a few months later to replace our porch. If you are looking for quality work at a competitive price , then look no further. Our thanks to Nick, Crystal, Johnny, Shaun, Barry & Jim for increasing both the comfort level and the value of our home. We know who we will be calling for any future projects!”
Blackdog Design Build Remodel

“Blackdog contractors were the perfect fit for us---they were as interested in giving us exactly what we wanted as we were in getting it. Blackdog builders are not the contractors of those horror stories you hear about; they're the contractors you dream about---RELIABLE, competent, fair-minded, communicative, efficient, and true to their word. Their craftsmanship is unparallelled. They completely demolished/re-designed/re-built our entire kitchen, and we are 100% satisfied. When was the last time you were 100% satisfied? With ANYTHING?”

“Erik, I would like to take a moment to thank you for the opportunity to work with you at the completion of your two most recent home builds. As always, it was tremendous to see the beautiful work that you did on these two homes. As I photographed the properties, I was impressed not only with the quality of your work, but also how happy the homeowners were in speaking about their experience with you. I guess I'm not the only one who enjoys your professional, creative & easygoing approach! Thanks again for giving me such beautiful subjects to photograph, Beth Therriault”

“Cedar Mill Group is in the process of renovating our two bathrooms. They were both gutted and the layouts were changed. They are a complete remodel firm with computer design and interior decorating help. They were extremely patient as we worked through the design process looking to optimize the limited space we had. Demolition began on schedule and the project is moving along on schedule. This is a long distance remodel and they have been wonderful with keeping us updated on the progress with pictures, e-mails and phone calls.”

“Joel did a complete renovation on my main bathroom, stripping it down to the bare bones, including removing walls, and then building it up again. My house is 260 years old and I was very concerned about it fitting in with the rest of the house. Joel did a fabulous job, including refinishing the original pin floor and pine vanity, building a laundry closet and a beautiful corner cabinet for sheets and towels. He did complex tile work and installed all new lighting as well as a new clawfoot tub, toilet and marble top for the vanity. He even helped me pick out new colors for the walls. I highly recommend Joel for all your remodling needs.”

“Jim Basnett of Basnett Design-Build-Remodel, is a builder that we discovered from seeing his sign and trucks in our neighborhood here in Lexington. He did extensive remodeling and addition work on a house on our street. Based upon the work we saw him doing with our neighbor, as well as all of the outstanding reviews on Angie's List, we asked Jim to help us with our own plans. From our first call, Jim was always extremely responsive and receptive, happy to talk to us and guide us. He sent us a list of references - a very long list, I might add, of clients that he worked with in the past - a huge percentage of which are actually continuing clients, meaning clients that are so happy with his work, when they want to do a new project, they call Jim back again. We are going to be leaving Lexington and moving to a nearby town, where we will be tearing down a rundown wreck of a house and building a handicapped accessible ranch in it's place. We had many conversations with Jim about the process. We had not yet bought a property when we first began talking, so he walked us through the steps, ideas, speaking specifically about land drainage, insulation, energy, costs, and countless other details, so that we had an idea of what to look for in a property, and how to proceed with the teardown and new construction. He looked at a few properties for us online, giving his input, and offering to come out to see and assess potential properties for us. Very importantly, he recommended a few realtors to act as buyers agents for us, and we did very happily engage one of them. Ultimately, we ended up not using Jim, but only because we found a different excellent builder (I never knew even one existed, let alone TWO!) who's schedule happened to be open and could begin our project immediately. Timing for us is fairly tight, details not important, so that was a key deciding factor for us. We can't thank him enough for his dedication to us, his invaluable advice, his bestowing to us of an excellent on-point realtor who cares about customer service more than her commission and his big picture view of how being moral, open and honest, is always the best policy.”
