“Absolute masters of their craft is the only way to describe the team at Beasley Woodworks. My wife and I bought a turn of the century Victorian cottage with clean lines in the beautiful seaside town of Narragansett, RI. It needed a lot of work, and we really wanted to transform it from a simple Victorian to a more classic, shingle-style home. But we saw so many beautiful old homes ruined by renovations that missed the mark, and we were apprehensive at best. We could not have made a wiser choice for this critical renovation. Our home is a showpiece. Everyone just assumes that it is an original shingle-style design from 1890. From his original sketchup (yeah, these guys crank out google sketchups as concepts) to the final product, we were promised thoughtful design and quality work. We got both and then some.”

“We hired Caldwell & Johnson (C&J) for Dave's knowledge of green technology. Before the project began Dave showed us other houses he had built using some of this technology. In the last stages of design we decided to use photovoltaic technology. C&J installed solar shingles on the south facing roof that are producing more kilowatts than we are consuming. The photovoltaics coupled with other building techniques C&J uses to produce energy efficient homes (e.g. foam insulation) earned us a Home Energy Rating Certificate with a 5 stars plus rating. Dave followed through to get the house tested for its energy efficiency and we received certificates with the results. C&J was also top rate in terms of designing the interior details of the house. For example, board and batten was installed on the walls of the open staircase, craftsman style trim on all windows including some open transoms, and help when choosing finishes (e.g. tile). Dave's team is very knowledgable and professional!”

“This was an unbelievably easy and positive experience for me. First of all, I interviewed with 8 contractors before deciding on Rob. I own an older home and wanted a new kitchen (changed footprint), bathroom and flooring. Not to mention there was a crumbling chimney going through my living room that needed to be removed. From our first meeting, I knew Rob's knowledge and professionalism was exactly what I needed and trusted to get the job done. Throughout the entire process, Rob kept me updated almost daily on what was happening, what the next steps were, realistic timing of completion, everything. I never had to call him to find out, he was always a step ahead and picked out some amazing design schemes for my home. I cannot recommend Rob any higher; you can truly tell he loves what he does and goes above and beyond for his customers. 200% recommended.”

The attention to detail, the consideration of our budget, the prompt response to our inquiries all contributed to a very positive experience during a long renovation. “Kamp built a 2000sf in-law addition onto an existing 3600sf home. They perform much of the work with their own people and manage subs for contracted work. The project came out as good as we had hoped it would. Paul (owner) and Mark (onsite manager) make an excellent team. They listened to our requirements, made helpful suggestions and followed through to assure a quality product. The only thing I would fault them on was scheduling. The project took 6-7 weeks longer than expected. Some of that delay was caused because leads times on some items (cabinets, granite, etc.) were longer than expected and, had we known, we could have made our selections earlier in the process. (We were novices to construction projects and could have benefited from regular schedule reviews.) Overall, it has been a very positive experience and we would certainly recommend KAMP to anyone considering a build or remodel.”
