“My husband's grandfather is going to come live with us so we can give him more care as he ages. We hired Stephen to design a master bed/bath addition that has ADA-accessibility for Grandpa, as well as a kitchen & dining remodel on our small, ~925 sq ft, 2 bed, 1 bath 1935 cottage. We are still in the process of finalizing the design and are getting ready to hire a contractor for the project. Stephen has been great to work with so far. He is friendly, thorough, thoughtful and very creative. Throughout this long process of narrowing down what we want our house to be he has patiently and carefully listened to all our ideas, concerns and needs, given us great ideas of his own, answered all of our questions, and has incorporated everything we want into a ~1420 sq ft, 3 bed, 2.5 bath floor plan. We are looking forward to working with Stephen throughout this project and we are confident that with his help we will end up with a beautiful and comfortable, family friendly home.”

He has good relationships with his subs and can move a project quickly. During covid, when we all needed to do outdoor activities, I wanted my side gate to be more accessible and look like part of the house. I am still so pleased with the outcome.”

“We hired MAK Design + Build to remodel our house and we can't speak highly enough of them. They are a small company, so they are very hands-on and accessible. They are thoughtful, creative, intelligent, perceptive and extremely hard-working. The design they developed was perfectly suited to our taste and our needs and the guys who did the construction were outstanding craftsman. The same guys worked at our house every day so we became very comfortable with them. For other crafts like tile, stone and paint, they use the same subcontractors for many jobs so they have good relationships with them and a lot of confidence in their skills. The project management was also great; consistent, attentive and accessible. The office staff was friendly, professional, helpful and available whenever we needed anything. The project ended two years ago, so we have had two years to review MAK's work. We literally don't have a single complaint about the process or the product. If there were 10 stars, that would be our rating.”

“I hired CEDB to do a complete remodel on my kitchen. I have nothing but high marks to say about Susan. She is excellent in her communication; very prompt. She is very capable to handle all the decisions for a project if that's what someone wanted but she is also happy to collaborate and incorporate the owner's ideas. She has a great rapport with the sub-contractors and works with them often which results in high quality work in a timely manner and the finish work actually gets completed! Compared to when I acted as the contractor for a previous kitchen remodel i can say that hiring CEDB made it so much easier.”

“We hired Adrian for our covered Patio and outdoor kitchen project. He immediately contacted an architect and engineer for the drawings and plans. He was extremely easy to work with and available at a moment's notice with our questions and concerns. It was a wonderful experience and we would definitely recommend him for your home project. “We are in the process of renovating a 100 year old SF Edwardian and started on the upstairs rooms. After interviewing and meeting with several contractors we chose Lee & Co. and couldn't be happier. From start to finish, this was an excellent experience. We are still amazed at how meticulous, professional and hard working everyone was and the fact that the project was finished on time-incredible! We want to thank Rob for the personal attention he gave our project and for the outstanding level of communication.
