About Us

Boutique Residential Interior Design Firm. Providing Full Service Interior Design from Portland, to Seattle and Beyond. Anna-Marie loves using an eclectic mix of styles to make spaces beautiful, unique and storied. Traveling through Europe, Central America, South America, and her own Pacific Northwest, she has developed a love and appreciation for handmade materials and textiles, thoughtful craftsmanship and multi-cultural arts. Her travel experiences have helped shape her personal style as well as a rich list of sources for her clients. Anna-Marie is certified in Interior Furnishings and Kitchen and Bathroom Remodeling. Her furniture design, textile and upholstery experience came from working for a Portland re-upholstery and furniture manufacturer. She’s also had experience at a Portland design build firm and as a stylist for residential home staging company in Seattle. She graduated from Washington State University with an anthropology degree and a minor in Spanish. She now applies her learning, traveling and and hands-on skill to imagining and bringing to life interesting, harmonious spaces both residential and commercial.

We hired Anna-Marie to design our kitchen. You should avoid using her at all costs. All contracts are non-refundable regardless of the quality and timeliness of her work. She is not a customer-first person. She only works one day a week and is not flexible with the needs of her customers. After waiting weeks for the design needed by our contractor, she forgot about our timeline and did not provide usable results for the $4500 we spent.

Hello there, I am surprised to read this review and am sorry you feel these things about my Interior Design Business. I worked directly with your spouse back (not you,) in the Summer of 2022. Your claims that I'm not a customer first person, or that I only work one-day a week are simply false. I strive to provide excellent client service as is evident with past reviews. I work all days of the week to accommodate my client's busy schedules. I'm sorry you feel your timelines/expectations were not met. I was willing to work to meet your accelerated demands which you choose to not move forward with. A partial refund of design hours were also given regardless of the contractional agreement your spouse agreed to. Best of luck to you!

We had Anna-Marie’s help with two tricky spaces in two different houses! The first project was taking a big attic (slanted ceilings) space and making it a functional office and guest room. She found terrific wallpaper, great counter and custom desk, and a comfortable and classy-looking hide-a-bed. Tiny closets were made functional, and table and chairs were added. She helped us choose a great dark navy paint for the non-wallpapered walls that we would have been scared to elect on our own, but she was right- it was gorgeous. In project 2, in our new house, she transformed a small front room, into an office that fits a good-looking and utilitarian cabinet, a new rug, modern light fixture, a couple seats for clients, and the repurposed table from project 1. It all fits comfortably! This time we wanted to use a deep, vibrant green paint and she found a very cool wall paper for an accent wall AND had the wallpaper continue onto the ceiling, which is fun, surprising and looks terrific. Anna-Marie has done great work for us, and listened well to our wants and needs. She’d be our first call for a new design project!

Anna-Marie worked closely with us to put together a design that looked great and met our practical needs. She used great craftspeople to handle the construction and managed all of the scheduling and execution. She made it so easy for us and the end results were perfect. She changed our home in way that still sparks joy for us. We really couldn't be happier!
