I can not say enough GOOD things about Ornamentations Design!!! Hiring Audrey Curl at Ornamentations Design was the smartest thing I have ever done since owning a home. Ornamentations has completed two projects for my family — the complete interior design of our new build in town and a partial renovation on our home in the hill country. Audrey and Charlene did a wonderful job designing a furniture plan for our mid-century house in Terrell Hills. I had not previously worked with a designer, so was particularly pleased that Audrey led me through a structured process that incorporated our family's style, functional needs, and important legacy into floor plans for an unusually-shaped great room, guest bedroom and dining room. Audrey carefully explained her cost schedule, which for our project was about $2500. Charlene was meticulous about measuring and documenting the rooms. The resulting floor plans were to scale, had several versions of design for each room, and incorporated photos of suggested furnishings that we immediately liked. The plans did not consider electrical sockets, but did include lighting, rugs, and furniture. We wanted to shop for our own furniture, so we have used the plan to guide our shopping, frequently using the sources Audrey suggested. We are happy with the result.

Audrey Curl is a truly gifted interior designer and we are so fortunate to have worked with her to make our house a home. We asked Audrey to participate in our design team - working with our architect and general contractor - during the schematic design phase of our house, advising us with lighting and electrical solutions, room size, window placement, room arrangement, etc. As we moved into the interior design phase, I was constantly amazed by her unmatchable eye for color, and her ability to create a palette that worked in each room without feeling "matchy" - from hardware to lighting solutions to fabric. All of our interior selections came together quickly, on time and on budget. Audrey works well in providing direction without being pushy, meeting deadlines and making a potentially stressful situation an incredibly enjoyable phase of the homebuilding project. I encourage anyone needing these services to utilize her expertise. We are thrilled to be working with her again as we endeavor to complete a few smaller home improvement projects.

I have hired Ornamentations Design many times for projects ranging from paint colors for an entire home, to selecting tile, fixtures, granite, rugs, and fabrics. Audrey Curl is a true professional. She is extremely punctual, knowledgeable about different styles, tailors to your taste, and is pleasant to work with on a project. I have always been on a budget and she was mindful of this. I will continue to use Ornamentations!

Audrey has helped me several times in the last 5 years with paint colors, fabrics, rugs, furniture and lighting purchases and arrangement. She is a true professional and a delight to work with. She is careful to work within the budget I establish and provides a detailed bids which outline all of the options available for the project at hand. Audrey is a mom and pet owner and uses her knowledge of kids and animals to gently steer me away from bad choices (i.e. loopy carpets, silk drapes, leather -- those things that cats and dogs and kids can ruin in a matter of moments!)), toward equally beautiful, durable options. She's a thoughtful, talented designer and I highly recommend her!
