Eva, Alicia and the whole team are fantastic! After I purchased my new apartment I researched and spoke with several designers. What stuck with me, was that right away Eva and Alicia showed great vision around the possibilities and come up with incredible ideas. The renovation included lighting and furniture for the dining and living rooms as well as the bedroom, colors and painting of the entire unit. I had never gone through major redesign or worked with a designer before and was unsure of the process. Eva and Alicia asked me a lot of questions about by tastes, listened to my ideas and brought back a vision that perfectly represented my ideas and personality! In addition to the design, I needed help coordinating and manage the entire project. This included purchasing the furniture, coordinating and managing the contractors, final inspection of their work and set up of the furniture. The most impressive thing was that Eva and Alicia made sure that we weren’t overrunning my budget.

My husband and I had a great experience with sfHEIMAT, we can't say enough great things! Alicia and Eva were really able to bring creative ideas to solve our design dilemmas. We started with a thorough consultation and walk through of our home, and the sfHEIMAT team gave us great options and ideas on how to remodel and design with a modern and practical perspective, which we loved! Alicia is a very warm individual and patiently walked us through our options. She had a very collaborative and positive personality, putting us at ease with each discussion. sfHEIMAT truly has a gift for design and were able to keep us within our budget. This is the first time we hired an interior design firm. We bought an older home, and thought about remodeling the small, dark kitchen, removing walls, adding a utility room, re-doing the garage etc. The thought of all these made us rather nervous. We were lucky to know sfhEIMAT and started a casual conversation with them about our ideas just to see what is involved. They were patient, gave us good information, explained the process and gave us some leads for architects and contractors. We interviewed a number of architects and contractors, and finally got the project underway. sfhEIMAT worked directly with the architect and the contractors, explained to them what we wanted and specified the details to them. They reviewed the architect's drawings, made suggestions for changes etc. Their involvement with the architect really helped us out. We didn't have to deal with all the minor details. They understood what we liked and didn't like. They were also respectful of our budget. They recommended the color scheme, the fixtures, the lightings, the materials, etc. They were very detailed, explained the design details to the contractor so that the final product reflects a high quality and polished look and feel. They were genius in their redesign of our space - now the living room flows effortlessly into our great space which is kitchen/dining area, all centered around a dual-open fireplace with built-in shelves. We cannot recognize our new space. It feels like a brand new house. What we like about these 2 great and professional ladies are that - they take the time to know us and understand what we like, work directly with the architect & contractors (taking the pain from us) and delivering a truly amazing finish product. They have very good feel for the space, and understands our daily lifestyle. Our kitchen design is truly awesome, with space to organize my kitchen stuff. There is so much details in the tile selection and placement. My new space really looks awesome, and is so functional.

I had the pleasure of working with sfHEIMAT after being referred by friends, who had used them for their residences. I had a unique project in converting a historic Edwardian to an office space for my technology company. Having a background in both residences and start-up offices, sfHEIMAT was able to take our vision and collaborate on designing a space to match our company culture and budget. There were certain ideas of ways to make the space function for both leisure and work that I would have never thought of and there are touches throughout our space that make it a place we can tackle large challenges and do our best work.

I bought a luxury condo in San Francisco financial district in 2012, and thought that it would be nice to update the unit with good interior design for a property worth in the millions. Through referral, I hired sfHEIMAT to do the project for me before moving in. I set a specific budget and timeline before signing off. The design was excellent, and amazingly, the end product was delivered on time and within budget. The sfHEIMAT team was very easy to work with.
