Modern classic interior design and decoration for homes condominiums and apartments. Servicing Seattle and surrounding areas. Kim OReilly Interiors was established in 2003. My focus is residential interior design in Seattle Washington and the surrounding areas, including Bellevue, Kirkland, and Tacoma. My approach to each project is the same, listen to my client’s vision. The outcome of each project is unique, a reflection of that vision translated into physical space. My style is classic and timeless yet progressive. I am always looking at new ways to craft space with subtle and bold details that are distinct to each project. Always researching and finding new materials that can transform the look and feel of a room. Always researching and finding new furniture and treasures that ensure that personal touch that is just yours. We can push the envelope as much as you are comfortable. The possibilities are endless. Do you prefer modern, or a more traditional style or perhaps a hybrid or the two? Regardless, there is always a way to reflect that aesthetic in the end result. I believe that for a space to be truly beautiful, harmonious and functional, it must be an extension of who my clients are. It should provide them with a sanctuary that bring them pleasure and peace, a place they truly love to come home to.

Great experience with Kim! Our appointment was set quickly and super informative at our home meeting. Follow up with drawings and 3D pictures were key to making the decisions on our kitchen and main floor layout. I highly recommend Kim, she is to the point, timely, and an expert at design.

Kim is fantastic! I found her online searching for interior design help back in 2015, we had a quick phone call, and Kim visited our home. We immediately liked her and started working on our house. She had a good methodology to understand our taste and incorporate designs based on that. Most of our interior house is complete and can't wait to work with her again to get our basement done :) We are very pleased with how our house turned out and we highly recommend her!!

Kim is amazing. I hired her this week to help choose an exterior color for my home. We talked ahead of time about different options and long term plans of the house. By the time she and I met, she had a color in mind that totally worked. What I love about working with Kim is that she is decisive. Her choices are not following the trend of the moment, but classic while pushing the envelope just a little bit. She knows what works, looks beautiful, and takes the time to educate. Kim is really great at listening and understanding what I am hoping to achieve.

Kim is wonderful and I cannot recommend her highly enough. I wish I could give her 6 stars. After a negative experience (and wasted money) with an interior designer who I felt wasn't listening to me and didn't understand what I was going for, I decided to try to redo my living room/dining area by myself. After several months of browsing online at inspiration boards, I had lots of ideas but no action, felt overwhelmed, and needed a consult that could help me get over the hump in a lightweight way without the pressure of a full interior design commitment. I'm so glad I found Kim. She was a life-send and exactly what I needed. In two hours with her, I got more clarity and direction and CONFIDENCE for my living room and dining area than I had in 6 months of trying to do it myself. She brings a creative approach and helped me see the potential of the space in a new way, and was able to gently redirect me when my ideas were perhaps not practical in ways I hadn't thought about, which I hugely appreciated. She brought lots of her own inspiration materials at my request, and she ended up introducing me to a wallpaper I love so much for an area I hadn't even considered wallpapering!! If you feel stuck with your space do not hesitate to hire Kim!!!! I plan to hire her again and again as I branch out to other areas of our home.

I contacted Kim in March 2020 for a 2 hour on-site design consultation. I was planning on doing some renovations in my townhome and although I had some ideas as to what I wanted to do, I wanted someone to help me take a fresh look at my space. Kim did a great job of quickly assessing everything in my townhouse, and after asking a series of questions to understand my goals for the space, she was able to recommend several changes that I had not considered. This 2 hour on-site consultation was invaluable to me and the suggestions she provided caused me to completely re-think what I was going to do. Kim has a keen eye for design and was able to get me to step out of my comfort zone and make some changes I didn't think I would make while still allowing the design to fit my overall style and lifestyle. I especially appreciate the fact that she was willing to work with me and let me run with her suggestions and then review and tweak what I planned to do. My renovations are still in process, but I have no doubt the end result will be great. I would definitely work with Kim again on future projects.

Kim did superior design and management/implementation work, from beginning to end, and was superbly proactive in project management and responsive and patient and provided great value. The scope of work included selecting, designing and installing blinds for new Capitol Hill property. Her work then moved on to design, selection of furniture and bespoke shelving, including ordering and coordinating with the vendors (both in Seattle and LA/overseas) and selection of local installers for Vitsoe products and full delivery and set-up. A full turnkey operation, especially in light of my not being able to be there in area due to pandemic travel restrictions. Highly transparent in terms of project timing and cost, and provided great value. Select Kim for your project!

Kim listens. She does an outstanding full services job - everything from keenly overseeing contractors during major home renovations to stopping by with a smile and suggesting ideas for hanging art. I've used Kim's services since 2011 in three different homes. The first project was a room-by-room full renovation starting from the living and dining space to two bedrooms, three baths, den and a full kitchen make-over. The next project was an out-of-town vacation home, followed by painting, flooring and furniture recommendations for a new home. She's not afraid of big projects and will happily help out with little changes. Each project is a collaborative effort and not solely the vision of a aloof designer. You'll take pride in Kim's work because you were there for every step and your style will come through too. Finally, Kim will find you trade prices (especially for furnishings) that will significantly offset to her already reasonable rates.

Professional, timely and on budget. I have worked with Kim OReilly Interiors on several residential design projects within Canada and the US (many of these photos are on Kim's website). The projects have ranged from paint color, furniture and accessory selection to more technical design elements (i.e. moving walls to create a more open concept kitchen/living area) in terms of interior layout. Kim is very approachable and no-nonsense. She was respectful of our budget and timeline given at the outset of the project. Kim also knew how to work with our contractor and made sure to maintain open communication with us throughout. She has an amazing ability to honor my personal design ideas while giving them a fresh, and sometimes new, direction that makes me truly appreciate why I hired her in the first place. When I have attempted to do a project on my own in the past, I have become overwhelmed by the shear number of structural and cosmetic choices there are. In the end, Kim saved us considerable time and frustration, and I am always very happy I decided to work with Kim OReilly Interiors . I would not hesitate to recommend her.
