When we asked Melissa to help us, she promptly delivered a design that was sensitive to the traditional setting of Lexington's historic district and satisfied our spatial requests. The hard-scape is elegant and we have been enjoying the sequence of blooming plants since May. I am thrilled with Melissa's design and with her service. She worked seamlessly with the contractor who highly respected her expertise. “I would highly recommend Kris for any landscape design project. We have a tricky sloped backyard. He created a beautiful and well thought out design incorporating both plant design and hardscaping. He was professional, fast, and very accommodating for specific requests and changes during the design process. Plus he knows a great deal about plants and how they will grow and look together depending on the look you want. My favorite thing is he has a community of the actual working landscapers who he happily recommends once you are ready to execute his designs. You can’t go wrong choosing Kris for your project.”

“We hired Dan and Corey last summer to design plans for landscaping a difficult hillside and our front yard. They selected and installed the plantings and sod and installed cobblestone edging and a paver walkway. We decided to have them do the work in three phases to match our budget. They have completed the installation for two of the three phases, and we are thrilled with the outcome. Their work is top-notch. They have an eye for design and they use top-rated materials. In fact, they turned an eyesore of a rocky, weed-filled hillside into an asset. They know what they're doing, and they do things the right way. They are a small company (just the two guys) so they do the work themselves - which is how we like to do things. We plan to have them do the final phase this summer.”

“Rob and his team were at my home over the course of two seasons, installing an incredible landscape in both the front and back of my property. It's not often you can say it was a pleasure having a work crew at your house, but my boys, my dog and I all enjoyed having Gilmore Landscape Architecture on site. They are intelligent, kind, respectful, creative and talented individuals. The exterior of my home was completely transformed; Rob's expertise in terrain and site planning was fundamental to creating a stunning final result. He made sense of a plot that was uneven and mostly covered in cracked pavement. It now instead features a kitchen garden, native trees and plantings, a reflecting pond, meditation rock garden, as well as a driveable grass paver driveway and beautiful gabion rock walls with wood bench toppers. --Allison TC”

“I hired Kathy to remove old, overgrown existing bushes and plantings and design a new garden and walkway border in front of my house.She came up with a beautiful plan that utilized low maintenance plants that were indigenous to the area and could be maintained with organic gardening methods.Since I live near a salt marsh,I did not want herbicides and pesticides used on my property in case of run-off into the ocean.I gave her my favorite colors and flower suggestions and she did the rest.She was very hardworking and came when scheduled so I felt she was very reliable.Her fees were fairly priced and I found her to be a pleasure to work with.I have recommended her to several of my neighbors and friends.”

“Andrea did the design, execution and ongoing maintenance of a master landscape plan for my Cambridge residence. The work was done on-time, on-budget and to a high degree of quality. The ongoing follow-up and maintenance has also been spectacular. In particular, I think Andrea is good at: 1. Collaboration: The final design was a combination of her ideas and my ideas. She had no problems listening and incorporating my thoughts. 2. Project Management: She is an on-time, on-budget type of person who proactively communicates what is going to happen when. I have never worked with a contractor/landscaper who is this good. 3. Great team: The people she assembled to do the work were top notch. All locals with great knowledge of the area (two of the contractors actually grew up in my neighborhood) as well as their craft. I would recommend Andrea to anyone who is serious about getting a good job done well.”
