Roxy is a wonderful designer who balances listening to our ideas with sharing her design vision. She is patient with clients (like us) who take a while to visualize the design - and she even spent significant time with us in the yard, describing each element and drawing out certain aspects on the ground with temporary/chalk spray paint. We ended up with a design that we are truly excited about implementing. We also appreciated that she is very up front about her charges. There aren't any surprises. We have signed and completed two contracts with her: one to draw up rough designs/plans, and one to come up with a final design that is detailed enough for contractors to submit bids. We enjoy working with her so much that we plan to hire her to work with our selected contractor to make sure that the design she drew up for us is executed well. It's great that she is willing to help with that part of the project as well, picking and placing plants to ensure a fabulous end result.

Roxanne was great. I hired her to help my brother and I on his property. It's a bare yard around his house in a kind of funky shaped lot and we wanted to make it more usable and inviting. She is good at actually listening to what you say and she has great ideas. Roxanne worked what we wanted into the design and suggested other things we didn't consider, which is exactly why we hired a professional. She is also so accommodating to work with. I live 3 hours away and kept having to reschedule because of work conflicts, but Roxanne took it in stride. Would highly recommend. Thank you, Roxanne!!

Roxie developed a landscape design plan for our property and was the consummate professional from start to finish. She has clear communication skills and expertise in not only integrating ideas into a working plan that can be bid on, but adding beautiful touches you will not have thought of. She not only knows plants, but loves them, and has a true passion for what she does. Roxie visited our property and met with us multiple times. She was always prompt and prepared and made the most of our time together. We are looking forward to working with her in the future as the breadth of services she provides is quite extensive. Roxie took the time to really understand our vision and create a landscape design my husband and I both loved. She is happy to make adjustments if necessary and she is both professional and creative.

Roxy did an excellent job creating our landscape design. We just finished an extensive remodel of our home and now we are going to tackle the outside. We wanted our outdoor space to be beautiful and make sense. Our space is tricky but she figured it out. She has a lot of knowledge about all things related to creating a beautiful outdoor space. I hired Roxanne at Singing Gardens to create a landscape and hardscape plan for my home. This is a renovation project that will be completed in early 2018. Roxanne provided several alternate concepts and we worked hand in hand to create the perfect plan. She gave me samples of hardscape materials, colors as well as photos of every plant and she created a detailed plan for HOA approval. I have all the details I need to get solid bids including EVERYTHING that needs to be done from electrical and irrigation to long-term maintenance training for my gardener!

I have had the pleasure of working with Roxy since May of this year on a complete re-design on the front and back yards at our property. Not only is she incredibly professional - and talented creatively - she is personable and a real pleasure to talk and work with, both when discussing the initial project and during the design presentation. My partner and I are very much looking forward to working with Roxie completing the project in about 1-2 phases to allow for our budget. Highly recommended! UPDATED OCTOBER 2018 Wanted to add an update to this review now the design phase has been completed. Initially found and hired Roxy in May 2017 when she drew up plans to re-image the front and back yard of our home in Bay Park. The project started in December 2017 and despite initially planning to tackle the project in two phases we decided to press ahead in one go. The project was completed in May 2018 and we were very happy with both the project management from Roxy – allowing for adjustments and tweaks along the way as is expected with conceptual designs and discovering unforeseen – and end result. Our home is late 1950s and to tie-in with a recent contemporary interior remodel we wanted a front and back yard that reflected a similar aesthetic. Roxy took us from tired bushes and shrubs, uneven brick work, dated looking cinder blocks and latticework to a chic and contemporary outdoor space we have since dubbed our “Modern Contemporary Succulent Garden”. Roxy’s vision of brushed concrete walkways, with smooth and board formed raised planter beds, Ipe fencing and two Ipe deck areas – we even managed to incorporate a stylish catio-come-sunroom! – came to life and we couldn’t be happier. A lot of friends say it feels like being in a luxury resort when we hang out on the back deck -- it’s a very relaxing space and compliments the house beautifully. Plant-wise Roxy listened closely to our (mainly my) vision of having unusual succulents and drought tolerant plants and created a beautiful ‘Zen desert garden-scape’ using baby Big Bend Yucca, Mexican Fencepost and Barrel Cactus, and Blue Chalksticks in addition to two very cool decorative rocks. Roxy also helped guide us with lighting fixtures which really add to the overall high-end look, especially during the evenings. A big aspect of our design requirement was wheelchair accessibility for my partner. Roxy was able to make the entire project wheelchair-friendly with discreet ramps that transitioned seamlessly into the overall look and feel of the space. Roxy also really nailed creating a sense of privacy from our bedroom window, which faces the street, by creating a lush wall of Pink Powder Puff plants and Jasmine that we have since trained on wires to create a ‘living wall’ effect. She planted Cordyline and Lime Turf at the roots for a more high-end look. Throughout the project Roxy was on hand to answer questions, help with aesthetic decisions and plan changes, guiding the project alongside her contractor, who we also very much enjoyed working with. I’d say with Roxy and Singing Gardens you’re not just getting a garden remodel or re-design you’re getting a work of living art.

Roxy is amazing! She listened carefully to our desires and together with her ideas and vision we realized a backyard we are thrilled with. She is a consummate professional, as well as personable and easy to work with. The $10,000, out of a $60,000 project, that we paid for her various services was so worth it. Roxy designed and managed a complete landscape redesign for my mom's property. The job included the front, back and sides of the home, with completely new hardscape, plants, irrigation, drainage and lighting. As a bonus, she also designed some wonderfully creative focal points in the gardens for my mom's enjoyment. Roxy is a professional with integrity; she was very attentive to my mom's budget and eagerly implemented changes to the plans as my mom's tastes evolved throughout the project. She kept us well-informed throughout the project with texts, emails and pics. I really enjoyed our design update meetings. When we're ready to have our own home's landscape redesigned, we will be going straight to Roxy for her inspired designs and top-notch work.

Roxy is the highest-quality professional that I have had the privilege of working with. She really listened to what I hoped to achieve and then made it happen in my landscape remodel. Roxy translated our vision of an above-ground coral reef into a beautiful water-conserving succulent garden that transformed our giant front yard into a really cool space. Random neighbors make a point of stopping by to compliment her work. She even provided some interesting plants that had been nurtured in her own garden. Wonderful attention to detail, would highly recommend this landscape designer.

Roxy is an amazing landscape designer who really thinks out of the box to give you the best plan possible. We are so happy we didn't go through one of the "free" services the landscape companies use, where all the designs tend to look the same. Do not hesitate to hire Roxy.
