“We first hired Matt Clark to design and install our backyard, including a lighted deck and stone wall. It went so well that we hired him two years later, only this time to be in charge of our new home's renovation. Matt grew up in Southern Marin and knows so many of the businesses we needed, plumbers, electricians, cabinet makers, etc. and was able to obtain very qualified and talented workers. He keeps abreast of work being done and met with us when ever we needed to talk to him - even on the weekends. We highly recommend him and his company for indoor and outdoor work.”

“We hired G Family because we wanted to have a local company competent in both design & build to make our backyard a place for our kids to play, for us to garden, and host friends. What we got was an enjoyable process with phenomenal people who have become like family to create an oasis of play, joy, and peace. Dave transformed many dilapidated terraces into a coveted flat yard space, with a patio for entertainment or yoga and a hot tub/outdoor shower sanctuary. Zach is an absolute dream to work with, plus a plant genius. He worked with us to design the most stunning zones of colorful life that perfectly blend zen and pollinator gardens, fruit trees, open play areas, and vegetable beds with stunning rock walls (in a small footprint)! The G family’s execution of our vision gave us the most invaluable gift. We spend every day in our yard, and it has become not just a place to enjoy the view and company but where we come to decompress and bond as a family. Thank you so much, G Family! “Nato Vargas and his team did extensive drainage work for us in 2014. This involved taking down the soil level 4 inches in the back garden, digging and installing several french drains and a sump pump. Since then we've had no water accumulation during subsequent rainy seasons, protecting our foundation. The drainage works perfectly! Nato and team have come back twice, in 2017 and 2020, to repair and stain our back garden fence, resurface the gold fine decomposed granite paths, install a new mail box, replace a garden gate and build a wood shelter for our recology bins. Nato and his team do beautiful work!”

“CK Landscape has done a great job installing several of my design projects. The owner, Alex Cartwright, is extremely knowledgeable about hardscape, irrigation, plants and landscape lighting. My preference is to work with contractors who can bring their own expertise and experience to make the project truly collaborative, and Alex excels at this. On a recent project, he found a beautiful flagstone that helped pull the design together, and had great ideas for enhancing several of the project’s structures. It’s wonderful to work with a contractor who is committed to making sure that the project is a success and the clients get the best possible outcome.”

“Donisi Landscape Construction Company re-landscaped our front yard with 40+ plants and trees, replaced a sprinkler system with a drip irrigation system and installed paver pathways. We were very, very pleased with the work, the workers and the finished product. Mr. Donisi coordinated well with our designer so that the layout and installation went smoothly. The work crew was skilled and efficient so there were no problems, no damage and no re-work. We were particularly pleased with the installation of the pathways - pavers tightly secured, surface totally even. Three months after planting all the plants are thriving which speaks well of the soil conditioning and drip system design and installation. The project went smoothly with no delays. Technically the project was on budget per the contract. (But let me share a lesson I learned: If your project involves removal of dirt, understand the potential cost and who will bear it before signing a contract.) Overall Donisi Landscape Construction Company did do a great job and I recommend them without hesitation.”

“Neli, Stan, Todd, and others at Interactive Landscapes are fantastic. Interactive completely remodeled our front and back yards, installed a large Batu (wood) deck, a hot tub, a BBQ island with built-in plumbing and gas, artificial grass field, concrete and tiles, and beautiful landscaping/plants, automated drip and spray irrigation, and automated and manual LED lighting. They had great and tasteful ideas provided 3D, color/textured computer drawings to help us visualize the design. They suggested strategies to save money on the design. They led and personally worked on every detail. They instantly respond to questions verbally, in text, or email. We have put a lot of work on our house and hired more than 15 contractors for a large amount of work inside and outside. Interactive Landscapes is by far the best contractor with which i have ever worked. Their prices are highly competitive and their quality is just top notch.--the best i have seen. I cannot say enough. They can do it all.”
