“We met Adan through our contractor and hired him to faux finish a number of places in our house. First he did a marvelous gray stain on the walls of our Speakeasy AirBnB. The stain turned what was cheeky pine panels into a very sophisticated room. He then stained the bench shelves a dark color to match the front of the bar, and framing of the bar turning the room in a multi-hued affair. All of the stain was done professionally, it looks amazing and is jaw dropping for anyone that comes to stay. We had Adan work on the trim in our living room matching old mahogany stains on new pine framed windows. The end result is a perfect coat that ties the new windows to the old vintage ones. We can't wait to have him back and do the beams in our ceiling and other wood based porjects. Adan is a professional and artist at the top of his game. He's truly marvelous and I'd recommend him to anyone that needs faux finishing or specialty painting work done in their house.”

“Dimension Painting recently painted several rooms in our house, including stripping 5 layers of wallpaper in one room. In 2014, Carlos first worked for us, with Dimension painting the entire exterior of our home in Lafayette. In both projects, a highly professional job from start to finish. Carlos impressed my from the moment he came out to review the scope of the project and put together his bid. He was very thorough, pointing out work that needed to be done that I was not aware of and that other painters who had come out, seemed to have missed. Carlos even had photos attached to the bid he emailed to me, showing the extra work he would be doing. So, it wasn't just talk during the bid stage, he actually committed to get these things done-- and he did them. And, during the exterior work, his crew discovered some dry rot that we had not been aware of. They replaced some siding in a seamless manner and at a reasonable cost. And, the corrective work his crew performed on a deteriorating arbor in our backyard was remarkable. The arbor is close to 30 years old, but now looks like new, We have lived in our home for 35+ years, so have had the exterior painted several times. None of the other painters took the same level of care, nor approached the job so thoroughly. For example, the crew took down all of your downspouts to paint them completely. In doing so, in several locations the siding behind the downspouts had never been painted previously. Our other painters had simply painted the downspouts in place. Now, the wood in those areas is fully protected. Both projects were extensive. The interior took 3 weeks and the exterior (with a 4 man crew) over two weeks to complete. More than half of this time was spent on prep work, rather than the painting itself. So, the final product looks much better than the prior work we'd had done, and I'm confident that it will last longer. And, no more problems with windows that haven't opened since the last time the house was painted. Both the 2014 and the 2016 project were completed on time and within budget. And, every day, at the end of their work, the work site was cleaned up and made neat. And, on both projects, the workers were polite-- and, as best we could tell, like Carlos, really nice guys. We have recommended Dimension Painting to several friends who have used them and all have been very pleased with their work.”

“Hired them to paint exterior of two story house in Davis CA. Received three other bids from painting contractors. Brooks painting price was not the lowest but a very fair price. They did the whole job in three days plus one day for pressure washing the house. There were always at least three painters on the job during the entire time in addition to the foreman. Did punch list at end of job and they took care of two minor touch ups. Left unused paint in new cans that were clearly labeled. We plan on having them bid painting job at another home of ours. They provide five year warranty on project.”

“Love 'em! This was our second major project with Aurora. The first was an exterior job and it lasted so well that we didn't seriously consider using anyone else to do this project--the entire interior and exterior of our extensively remodeled 3-storey house in Oakland. When we started construction we contacted Dean to make sure to get on his schedule, and he saved us a time slot with the crew (he has 4) that he thought would be the best match for the job, which included a new roof terrace & porch and a new bath & dressing room. The job was complicated with some "unique" structural elements and construction schedule slips which meant that Dean's crew had to work in less-than-ideal conditions. Martin, Victor, and Jose handled the challenges with grace and good humor, and they were very hard-working and pleasant to have around. Dean was great about explaining what needed to be done and making suggestions about materials and methods to make the finishes last longer. He's completely involved with every aspect of the job and is great at communicating--by email, phone, or in person--throughout the entire job. I used to be a project manager myself, and I appreciate his being on top of things at all times. Best of all, throughout the entire job, Dean was really attentive to making sure that our needs were being met, both in value for the money and in the quality of the work. The job is done now and it looks great. I recommend Aurora highly. But plan ahead...their schedule gets filled up!”
