“It's difficult dealing with a plumbing emergency when you live 6 hours away. Adult daughter calls from cottage in Naples citing 4 inches of water in basement. After turning off water pump and hot water heater, (couldn't plug in sump pump because electrical outlet soaked along with water lines covered with heat tape) water still seem to rise. Artesian well could be backfilling from well line. Not being familiar with the area, I called at least five plumbers, after hours, left messages. Only one returned my call, Charlie Bradbury. Given the hour and the lousy, icy road conditions, he couldn't promise that his on-duty person, would be available, but after listening to my concerns, increasing water levels, electrical inference, etc., he promised to do his best. A few minutes later, Phil called, and said that although it might take an hour to get to the cottage because of road conditions, he would leave his family, children, and the safety of his home and venture forth to at least assess the situation, turn off all incoming water supplies so the situation wouldn't get worst, make the repairs if it wasn't too involved,and/ or return the next day to finish the job. I'll finish my review tomorrow, but I have to credit and give high marks to this firm for responding to my emergency, (especially since I am not a regular customer- but I will be), and assisting my daughter in her calamity.”
