Jake is incredibly thorough and meticulous in his work, extremely passionate and knowledgeable about what he does, and is a pleasure to have around. Our shy dog has never made a friend faster. We are grateful to have hired Jake to restore our original front door from 1936. Jake restored it to an extent that we didn't even think was possible. We couldn't be happier with how it turned out. Some details to illustrate how Jake goes above and beyond: when the door hardware my husband and I ordered wasn't compatible (our mistake, not his), Jake sent us options that he knew would work, and from the same website we initially used. From our experience, anyone else would have sent a quick text to inform us of the issue. He not only identified the exact fix needed, but spent time finding one that fit our style and budget that he was certain would fit the door. Further, Jake always made sure we were on the same page, letting us decide on stylistic choices after educating us on most logical options and the reasoning behind them. He was descriptive and informative of his process throughout. Communicating with him was a breeze. And to really show how good he is at what he does, he accurately assumed, to the EXACT year, how old our door was based on a tiny detail. Not kidding, he assumed 1936. He knows what he's doing! Jake is extremely skilled at what he does and we look forward to having him return for our next home project. Do yourself a favor and hire J McCauley Works.”

I am very pleased with the frames that she helped me select and the museum glass she used to enhance and preserve the pieces. Each framing job is perfect; she does an excellent job. Emilie also coordinated the renovation of several very old pieces and the installation of a museum grade hanging system for four of the largest pieces. “I ordered and received four art tiles from Emu for a tile piece I am doing for my bathroom. Emu has a nice selection of fine art tiles with a nice range of glaze colors. I loved the tiles on her website. But I wanted a 3 inch frog tile for my design, and her only frog was 2 inches. So she said she would create one for me, and she did! The tiles arrived on schedule, even though she had to created the new frog. They are gorgeous--excellent quality. Reasonably priced. My project is in arts and crafts style so I need slightly undersized pieces to provide for the grout lines. Emily happily said she could shave the tiles and give me what I needed. Also she sent me progress reports during the process. Working with her has been like working with a wonderful artist in your home town that you have known for years. I would certainly order from her again. (The picture is of a mock up, obviously, as I have not done the piece yet)”
