I found Western States on the web, and the manufactured exactly what I wanted in unfinished 22 ga 7/8" corrugated steel for my 1897 Victorian, as both a 130 ft long fence and and to finish the undercarriage of my new 2nd story deck. The need for the metal to rust was paramount for aesthetics, and 22 ga is substantial for a 40 year, no maintenance fence. They produced it to order, met my time schedule and the price was great. They stayed in touch on delivery since it is delivered by 45' flat bed semi. Great product, great price, great people!!!

We used Western States Metal Roofing to supply the roofing and siding on our barn. The customer service was excellent as they sold us the material at a great price and than referred an installer in my area. I will be using them again on our next barn.

Fall of 2013 I made the decision to finally replace the wooden "good neighbor, privacy fence" behind my home that was close to becoming anything but private as the neighbor's unmanageable trumpet vine continued to twist & push the wooden fence down onto my garden. Clearly, a different material other than wood, was to be used to replace the 50-foot fence; I knew in the very least I did not want the same structural issue repeating itself. Whatever the material, it would have to be affordable; durable yet attractive; and would have to withstand the Northern California weather and of course, that wildly aggressive vine! During an Internet search, suddenly I came across 'Western States Metal Roofing of Phoenix, Arizona' where I discovered a building material they offer called COR-TEN. It is steel, engineered to produce beautiful brown-orange rust on its surface shortly after it is exposed to the weather (rust substrate actually strengthens steel). After much research, I chose this as the construction material. The fence has been up for 10 months and proves to be the absolute perfect choice in material! Using COR-TEN is sensible; It provides better privacy, it reduces the outdoor noise-level; it is cool to the touch, even during the day; and the new plants love the texture and soon will be climbing & attaching themselves to the surface of the newly rusted panels. The Staff at 'Western States Metal Roofing' could not have been more kind or professional; one notable experience being the "easy" communication with all of them, they are consistent and are straightforward in their manner of conducting business. This provided a good vibe from the beginning - I felt as if I was a "valued customer". They helped me with my measurements; explained the entire manufacturing process to me; The order was executed to exact specification and the transport of the steel from Phoenix, AZ. to my front door in Sonoma, CA was delivered precisely at the time they scheduled with me! In my profession, I happen to source & recruit professionals in the construction & manufacturing industry; and coincidentally, for almost 50 years, my father was the Founder & President of a steel manufacturing operation with factories in the US & Germany; Therefore, it goes without saying, I am very familiar with this type of business & its intricacies. With no hesitation whatsoever, I remain nothing but impressed with the professional-service provided to me by Paul, Mike & Stacy Rubio, and Monique Noble, who followed up with me to gauge my customer satisfaction. Rarely do I see many companies like this that are as successful in providing this level of customer service as this group.
