“Jim Roberts was our contact with Black Diamond for our project which consisted of (1)replacing a poured concrete front walkway that had two steps with pavers on an incline with no steps (this avoids people tripping on the steps at night) ; (2) creating a parking space next to the driveway with pavers; and (3) creating extra patio space using pavers around the back yard pool out of a grass area. Jim provided a nice presentation and competitive estimate and provided valuable creative input that steered us towards good choices of pavers and a great outcome. I was very nervous about the second part of the project (see above) because virtually all of our house utilities (gas, electric, telephone, cable, water line and drain line) all were directly through the area to be paved. Also, two massive tree root systems running through the area had to be hand removed due to being directly over the utilities. Jim and Black Diamond served up a truly outstanding crew that pulled it off without cutting any of the utility lines. Jim had good follow through and represented his company professionally and he would be our first call should we need paver services again. In summary, this was one of our best ever contracting outcomes and give due credit to Jim for that result. Chuck Clark”

“Joshua Zelmon and his crew completed a project for us which consisted of adding on to an existing stone patio and building a new outside kitchen grilling area. From start to finish, Josh provided excellent advice and support, offering consult on all phases. The work was completed in a timely manner, and even came in earlier than expected. The crew was tidy and always cleaned up the work area, so that the patio could still be utilized while under construction. We are more than pleased with the finished products, and look forward to working with Josh again on future productions.”

“Paul Vander provided consultation, and instalation of a french drain system to correct a moisture problem under the house. This led to a remodel of the backyard (removal of existing concrete patio, and replacement with stamped concrete; addition of retaining wall and secondary french drain; concrete pour on both side of house with drainage; partial additon to front driveway, remodel of front walkway). All through the original project and remodel, Paul gave me estimates and updates at each steps, worked with me to stay within budget as much as possible, and gave me ideas to help find solutions to any issues that always seem to crop up. The entirre project took almost four months, but the end result was very satisfying and eye pleasing. Needless to say, my wife was satified (even happy) with the result.”

“We hired William Young to do the Masonry work on our back patio at our house in Palo Alto. It was a very large job with over 1,000 square feet to be covered with a complex brick pattern. Everything about this company was amazing from day 1 to completion of the project. The end product was better then I could ever hope for and detail was overlooked. “We just had our driveway replaced with John Molina Concrete. John contacted me right away and met with me the next day. He was very helpful and explained the options to me in a way that I could understand. He provided a proposal that night and work started within the next week. Demolition was quick and our yard was left clean. Concrete arrive the following week and the crew had the concrete poured and it looks amazing. John and his crew were professional and courteous. John was always reachable via text and phone. Will definitely recommend John Molina Concrete to anyone who needs concrete work done.”
