Custom Surface Solutions - Owner Craig Thompson (512) 430-1215. This project shows a fireplace that is 5' x 13' with 6" x 24" Travertine Plank tile on a vertical offset pattern. Outside corners are mitered.

These sheer/silk panels are board mounted and installed between the windows. The homeowner wished to add softness and height to the wall full of standard size windows. Also all the windows had existing white wooden blinds that the homeowner wished to keep for privacy and sun control. Sheer was a great choice to soften the entire space while the silk platinum color blocks on the panels added interest, elegance and slightly masculine feel. See the BEFORE PHOTO. DRAPES & DECOR

Megan Keane Photography - During the first meeting with my clients in Rancho Mirage, they excitedly described they wanted COLOR and to go “super modern.” Looking around the room I was initially perplexed about their vision of “Palm Springs Modern” in their newly purchased home with Spanish-inspired architecture. Luckily, I am a designer that can envision more than one design style, and I embrace a good challenge. Actually, I always strive to give my clients the best design interpretation of what they want. The team at Lockwood Interiors set out to completely transform this large great room into Contemporary Glam with a Twist. The clients are thrilled with the results. They love their stylish new vacation home filled with their colorful personality. They were confident from the start that Going Modern with Spanish-inspired Architecture was the right choice for them. I hope you agree!

Floor to ceiling glass on both sides of this seating area, with pocketing glass doors, make this room feel as if it is a part of the outdoor living spaces around the home.The plaster fireplace wall is accented with blackened steel bands. The hearth, which continues through the window to the patio beyond, is made of concrete and appears to float on the ledge stone wall.

Home theater - contemporary multicolored floor home theater idea in Miami

Inspiration for a contemporary open concept light wood floor and beige floor living room remodel in Los Angeles with a wall-mounted tv and white walls

Living Room: Our customer wanted to update the family room and the kitchen of this 1970's splanch. By painting the brick wall white and adding custom built-ins we brightened up the space. The decor reflects our client's love for color and a bit of asian style elements. We also made sure that the sitting was not only beautiful, but very comfortable and durable. The sofa and the accent chairs sit very comfortably and we used the performance fabrics to make sure they last through the years. We also wanted to highlight the art collection which the owner curated through the years. Kithen: We enlarged the kitchen by removing a partition wall that divided it from the dining room and relocated the entrance. Our goal was to create a warm and inviting kitchen, therefore we selected a mellow, neutral palette. The cabinets are soft Irish Cream as opposed to a bright white. The mosaic backsplash makes a statement, but remains subtle through its beige tones. We selected polished brass for the hardware, as well as brass and warm metals for the light fixtures which emit a warm and cozy glow. For beauty and practicality, we used quartz for the working surface countertops and for the island we chose a sophisticated leather finish marble with strong movement and gold inflections. Because of our client’s love for Asian influences, we selected upholstery fabric with an image of a dragon, chrysanthemums to mimic Japanese textiles, and red accents scattered throughout.
