A complete gutting down to the studs was in order to bring this more than 100 year old home into the 21st century and trying to maintain the look of vintage meets modern. The wood floor includes old and new put together with a new finish on everything so it all looks seamless.

The watery Venetian damask from Zoffany sets the mood for this Pied a Terre bedroom. We wrapped the room in a color pulled from the paper, even the doors and moldings are in this color. The wallpaper softens the hard lines of the industrial style metal bed from CB2. To purists the placement of the refurbished Mid Century nightstands with the wallpaper may seem inappropriate, but I think the nightstands are a tailored response to the exuberance of the paper. Also, if you watch TCM on a regular basis you would see such mixes all the time. The Chinese Mirror and Japanese prints reflect my client's interest in Asia and add another layer to the mix.

Kitchen Pantry can be a workhorse but should look amazing too. Have fun feature in this family kitchen is a magnetic wall for photos, calendars and notes! Coral door to the outside is a fun pop.

With a run-down outbuilding taking up valuable space in their yard, this client saw the perfect opportunity to create the ultimate zen multi-use space. Yoga, meditation, sound bowls and a calm and relaxing vibe this space is now the perfect room to relax, take in the views and get inspired.

Dining room chairs have a unique combination of bright blue leather and a pixellated print fabric from Robert Allen. The mirror was custom made in a combination of mirrors that create one mirror. The Currey & Co wall sconces are pixellated as well! Very unique, fun and cool!

Salon style art wall in the dining area @ Studio Speck. Neoclassical furniture with a back drop of carefully curated art and mirrors hung as a composition.

Here is a wide angle view of the office with a large desk providing storage on both sides. The desk is big enough to accomadate all the stuff that us girls bring in with room for the bag, tea and some pretty decor. Functionally the drawers help keep her organized and the light from the windows give her a peak into the greenery from the yard beyond.
