I am just in love with geometric patterns that were used throughout this house. In this close up of the staircase you can see how intricate the iron work is and really take in how custom and professional it makes the entire staircase look. We stayed with this design throughout the house and I love the way the themes were established!

This new hillside home above the Castro in San Francisco was designed to act as a filter from the peaceful tress-lined street through to the panoramic view of the city and bay. A carefully developed rhythm structures the building, directing the visitor through the home with mounting drama. Each room opens to the next, then out through custom mahogany doors to the decks and view. Custom vine-like wrought-iron railing provide a counterpoint to the pure geometry of the rooms. Decorative Iron work, Custom Hand Forged Iron screens were used as room divider screens between the Living room and Dining room of this luxury Southern California home. Geometric shapes combine to create a subtle yet striking division between the rooms. Set on top of custom cabinetry, the screens stand 10' off the ground allowing the viewer a subtly look from room to room while creating a sense of privacy within the space.
When Iron work in a home has traditionally been reserved for Spanish or Tuscan style homes, Interior Designer Rebecca Robeson finds a way to incorporate Iron in a new and fresh way using geometric shapes to transition between rooms. Custom welders followed Rebeccas plans meticulously in order to keep the lines clean and sophisticated for a seamless design element in this home.
All staircases and railings in this home share similar linear lines while window embellishments and room divider screens include softer curves to add grace to the geometric shapes.

The client wanted a unique railing design, they liked our organic work but wanted something a little more contemporary. The "tree" design is all forged and fabricated from flat bar and the horizontal rails are round stock. We used our cap rail which we forge in house.

Rhodes Architecture + Light
One of the most commanding features of this rebuilt WWII era house is a glass curtain wall opening to sweeping views. Exposed structural steel allowed the exterior walls of the residence to be a remarkable 55% glass while exceeding the Washington State Energy Code. A glass skylight and window walls bisect the house to create a stair core that brings natural daylight into the interiors and serves as the spine, and light-filled soul of the house.

Decorative Iron work, A custom hand forged Iron screen was used as a room divider screen between this sitting room and the adjoining Master Bedroom suite of this luxury Southern California home. Geometric shapes combine to create a subtle yet striking division between the rooms. Gently curved in shape to follow the shape of the room, the screens stand 9' off the hardwood floors allowing the viewer a subtly look from room to room while creating a sense of privacy within the space.
A similar yet different Iron screen was created for the window that looks into the interior courtyard.
