Lack of pollination?

This is a phenomenon I noticed this year in my garden. I thought my corn would not have cobs, either. But, it was simply a matter of the tassels emerging well before the female end of it. I think it took a lot longer for the tassels to mature, because I had excellent pollination and the corn did what it was supposed to do. I really didn't expect a crop at all.

No cobs am so disappointed planted Silver Queen going into tassel right now dressed with 10-10-10 early on tall & green but not seeing cobs.🌽

Yes, in many instances tassels emerge long before the ears. If the plants are healthy just wait for them. Silver Queen is very reliable but takes a long season. When crowded the ears will be smaller but they will develop.
