Mold inside bells!?

I've got orange bell peppers that when they've ripened to orange I cut them open and mold is surrounding the seeds.

What gives??

I have a purple bell pepper that gave me the same thing this morning. It was almost ripe though. I will look forward to an answer.

I've seen this. It just means the cold store they kept it in was damp...and obviously that the spores got on it somewhere between the field and you.
