I saw it in our public rose garden here. The planting had a few flowers on them to look at. It is brightly colored in the fall. The flower form looked promising. Both it and the Mardi Gras looked well blackspotted. I don't know how they would fare with regular spraying, but I am sure it would help.

In Exposition Park in Los Angeles, it was a perfectly nice rose until the late summer plus 100 degree arid weather; with that the blooms shrunk to half their size, and the foliage was susceptible to mildew--heavy mildew. Otherwise, the plant was a nice bicolor, but not, iirc, with exhibition form. JimD

I don't recommend this rose based on its first year's performance. I am keeping it another year and if it doesn't improve it is a goner.

It has a lovely color, but it did not bloom very much for me. The flowers got very small in the summer--we have lots of 90-100 degrees of dry heat.

The pictures were so pretty--I wanted this rose to succeed..Bummer.

Well, this is a bummer indeed! I just bought one at Lowe's. I get the 90-100° temps for several months in summer. Oh well, many of my roses get smaller in the high temps, but as long as it blooms well and has good color, I guess I can give it a try for awhile anyway. We'll see!

Glad I put mine in a pot, lol. Hot and dry is about all I've got.
