Softee is an excellent mini that blooms nearly continuously, winters well, and is fairly disease free for me.

I have started with minis, last spring actually, and I just love the two I got:

Gourmet popcorn looks like, well....popcorn and blooms a lot.

Rainbow's End is so pretty and cheerful. Good bloomer too.

Some of the smaller polyanthas might also work. White Pet is very nice, and can be kept in a compact shape.
