The top two photos are of Piilu also known as Little Duckling.

Thank you so much buyorsell888.I should clarify that the last pic distorts the color. It is not blue, but more like the pale lilac of the 3rd pic.

The other reminds me of Proteus, which I had for a little while.

The last two are "Proteus" and I concur with BoS..the first is "Piilu"...Jeanne

I agree with both although my Proteus is more lavender that blue, like the first photo. A full 8" across. What a flower!

Who wants Piilu? I have several. They were freely available last year in Souther Ontario.

I also got a great buy. Florida sieboli "Vivienne" I grabbed all 8. Only lost one overwintering in my climate!

I'd love a Piilu clematis! The first two photos are gorgeous! Lostmermaid-I've never heard of Piilu-would it survive in my Colorado zone 4? Ive grown Henryi, Niobe, Dr. Rupple Jacmanii and my favorite-the President. Let me know and thank you!

Where in Colorado are you? Piilu survived fine this past winter in my Colorado yard. If you are near a Lowes, you might still be able to find one there.

I also bought Piilu at Lowes here in Iowa. Bought General Sigorski & Star of India at Menards as they were unloading them off the truck about a week ago. Have accumulated 15 clems from my local HV, HD, Lowes, Menards this year. Really surprised to find so many as I had nearly 40 already. Best year by far to buy clems locally. Think that says something about the growing popularity of this beautiful flower. I have never mail-ordered a clematis.

Hi lostmermaid - are you still offering piilu? I'm also in SW Ontario but haven't seen that one anywhere.
