Will check the branches-hope its just a break! My dogs aren't allowed in the front yard where this plant is and I have not seen stray dogs around here. My dogs certainly haven't alerted me to any dogs roaming around outside. So I don't think I can blame leg-lifting!

We are in northern indiana (is that zone 10? Newbie at gardening!). The damage is on the south side of the plant. What is winter damage and do I just trim it off? We watered good and long before it got really cold and then didnt water after that. Is he dying of thirst???
