Orienpet Lilies in North Florida?

L_in_FL

I keep seeing these listed in catalogs as zone 3-9 or 3-10, but I've been burned before with bulb and plant catalogs being overly optimistic about the southern extent of their plants' range.

I am in NW FL, right at the 8b/9a border. Has anyone else in the northern part of the state tried these? Do they actually come back and get bigger each year?

(Yes...I know that even though they are sold as "Lily Trees" or "Tree Lilies" that they are just tall lilies, and not trees at all.)

Thanks for any experience or insight!
