Saturday's Offerings

Winding down in the garden here. Most of these have been posted before but are still putting out nice blooms.

SALTY SKIPPER is a gift from Kay, planted last year. Thank you, Kay!

RUBY LIPSTICK has been disappointing this year. Last year was great, but this is the next-to-last bud and the only one that has opened most of the way. Perhaps it's not meant for my climate:

FEAR NOT has been outstanding this year, with tons of blooms and most of them perfect:

CLOUDS OF KISSES has also settled in nicely:

SUDDENLY LAST SUMMER is leaning toward the sunlight because it was planted in too much shade. It's been a great performer nonetheless:

ORANGE VELVET is always very photogenic with perfect blooms:

SELF-DETERMINATION needs to go on my highest bud count list:

IN HOT PURSUIT continues to wow me. The deep pink flower is a great contrast to the green throat:

This one is a mystery. It was sent by mistake and the seller hasn't contacted me with the correct identity. Any guesses?

Love Salty Skipper, always a beautiful flower. Too bad Ruby Lipstick didn't do so well for you this year. I swear I've had plants that take a year off sometimes, maybe this is the year for Ruby & she will be great again next year? I love Orange Velvet, mine is on its rebloom scapes now, & I believe the reblooms are better than the 1st round.

Ruby Lipstick didn't do much here this year either. Fear Not was wonderful for me; every bloom was perfect.

Love Salty Skipper. I have daylilies that take a year off. Don't bloom or very few blooms but the next year they do better than ever. Hoping Ruby Lipstick will do that for you next year.

Orange Velvet looks terrific with the bee balm! I've never had Ruby Lipstick not be open flat. You must have had some very cool overnight temps. Fear Not looks great in everyone's garden. It must perform well in a range of climates.

I'm so glad Salty Skipper is doing well. It is a really good one to increase here, and hope it will be for you. Fear Not had a good year here too, and it is a such a lovely bloom, isn't it? Give Ruby Lipstick a year or two more, because it is a beauty when it gets started. Speaking of lovely blooms, Orange Velvet is beautiful. I like your NOID too.

you stlll got some beauties blooming.FEAR NOT is always so pretty. I really like it.I don't remember seeing CLOUDS OF KISSES before, but its a very pretty one, too.
SUDDENLY LAST SUMMER is always a beauty. That's my favorite today.I'm not that fond of orange flowers, but,
ORANGE VELVET is a very pretty one. I do like that one.
IN HOT PURSUIT is a beauty, too and looks like a big bloom.

I seem to be on a bright red kick lately, and Fear Not is really vibrant. I see it's described as "Chinese Red". Whatever that means it sure seems to shout for my attention..... You've got a good picture of Orange Velvet's color early in the day. All of them look so nice to me.....Maryl

I'll give Ruby Lipstick another year to really settle in but if it requires warm overnight temps, it might not be the daylily for me. Overnight temps will be in the 50s every night this week.
