my new hostas came

This spring I took a big step and ordered 17 hostas. I'd never ordered hostas on line before so I was pleasantly surprised at the size of them when they came. I bought:
Antioch, Night Before Christmas, Abba Dabba Do, Aphrodite, Alex Summers, Dark Star, Northern Exposure, Pineapple Upside Down Cake, Twist of Lime, Wolverine, Montana Fujibuton, Katie Q, Lakesides Rocky Top & Cupcake, Spring Fling, Paul's Glory and Fried Green Tomatoes. Anyone have any tips for any of these? Thanks Marg

Nice haul! No wonder you are pleased. It looks as though you have lots of space to plant back there among the trees - wonderful things to come. Is that big guy lurking back there 'Sagae'? He looks really happy and ready for company.

Hi Jan. Yes, that's one of my Sagaes. I have 3 in front of the garden shed. I thought planting under the pines was a good idea but the tree roots take a lot of the water and fertilizer away from the hostas. The only ones doing really well are the ones planted closer to the path. We're putting up a shade structure out in the field so the hostas won't have that competition. We are on a farm and that's good because I like my hostas big! Marg
