I finally grew tomatoes and peppers by seed but now that these little guys are transplanted (hardened off first) the lower leaves are starting to pale and everything just doesn't look as lush and bushy as it should. I spotted some flying black bugs with white wings (I think aphids?) as well as the normal small green aphids. I sprayed with insecticidal soap and neem oil, but may have done so when there was still too much light in the day and burned the plants? Trying to figure out if the paling is sun scald (there are some papery patches too) or bugs sucking the juices out of the plants (or of course the third option which is neither of these!). Any experience and help is appreciated!
