Labor Day's few blooms

There are three blooming today.

I don't believe Ruby Lipstick has ever rebloomed in our garden.

Jane's Prism doesn't like our climate and almost died so we dug it up and put it in a pot (for the greenhouse this winter). It's finally grown enough to bloom.

Sea of Cinders continues to bloom. We love this vibrant orange.

That's all for me today. I am just glad to see a few bloom.

It nice to have some blooms at this time of year. Ruby Lipstick has rebloomed for me several years, but not this season. The only Jane Trimmer plant I've been able to keep alive is Jungle Queen. The rest were too tender - even this far south. Sea of Cinders is looking bright and beautiful!

Great blooms for September, Nancy, I like Sea of Cinders too. I’m trying to remember if I have any Trimmer daylilies, think I do.....

It's too bad Jane's Prism doesn't do better for you because I KNOW it wouldn't like it here!

It's an eye-catching bloom for sure. Have you used it in hybridizing and if so, do the children

ever inherit that bold triangular eye? I am always drawn to daylilies like that. Sea of Cinders

really stands out in a crowd!
