We don't get that many Monarchs in our little patch, usually Swallowtails. Fine by me. They are pretty too and their caterpillars love our parsley which we let go to seed every year.........I like your two rose colored VT daylilies. Nice to have that color so late in the season..............Maryl

Your VTs seem to have a lot of buds. You will have blooms for a while!

So nice to have late bloomers.

I am so thankful for the VTs. Besides these 3, three others are still blooming plus Olallie Autumn Gold. I have a noid seedling going to bloom soon, 7 buds. Four of the VTs, Sophie, The Last Melon, Sept. Star, and .Sept. Autumn Fire will go for quite a while longer. It is a good thing in another way: every year I have less and less rebloom. This year I have none. I don't really know why. We get plenty of rain, I use pine needles which is good for the soil, etc. Belle Isle Sentry is the only one that does every year, but the last several years it hasn't put up scapes until mid or late September and by then it is too late and they get frozen before they bloom.

It is nice to have late ones bloom...better than re-blooms usually.
