I would like to kindly ask you for some advice about our apartment. A few months ago, a weird noise started to come from the ceiling. It is as if a metallic rod is shaking against something. We went to check with our upstairs neighbour if there was some furniture or something like that, but the strange thing is, there is nothing shaking there and you cannot really hear the sound in our neighbour's place. We have also noticed, that the sound is the worst when he walks in a specific place in the apartment, but we hear it from a slightly different place in our ceiling.

We have contacted our landlord, but he seems to think it’s a normal old-house sound (which it definitely isn’t). The thing is, we have no idea what could it be. I guess something got loose in the ceiling and is causing the noise.

Do you have experience with that? Many thanks for any help/suggetion.
