Paint on a driveway is problematic as it will always get stained , tire marks ect. And grit often wears off. Cheapest solution is apply grit best solution is probably sandblast the paint off. I can tell you are worried sick for your daughter and grandchild to be. I hope she and the baby recovery quickly from their fall. I hope someone was with her to help her.

Call someone to get an estimate on the sandblasting. It is probably the most cost effective solution and the most long term solution. Tell the contractor you call you need it done very quickly and why. That might get you to the head of his list!

Thank you all- she is 4 hours away from me in Wilmington N.C. and this is her first---she was alone on the way to doc when she fell. I am packing!

Does anyone have just a ball park idea of sandblasting cost- it is not a very long driveway.

I'm so happy you are close enough to be with her and I pray that she and the baby will be ready to go home by the time you get there! I don't know how much it could cost. Depending on the condition of the paint, it's possible it could be removed with a high pressure water jet.

For now, how about throwing some kitty litter on it to give it traction? You might have to do it several times till you can get the problem resolved.
