Is brick whitewashed and if so, how was it done?

The brick is from the original home - when we added on the addition we had to hand paint the brick to match!

Hi Yes we got that about how you did an addition and hand painted the brick to match the existing brick. I think what everyone wants to know is how did you achieve the look to match the existing brick? Did you water down the paint and wipe some off or pressure wash it wet, etc.. please share. Thanks
