We developed our color palette for the room: a cotton candy swirl of pinks, greys, and whites with rose gold as the accent metal choice. For the floors, we went with a lush rug-on-rug look so Elle’s first steps out of bed every morning would be on our heaven-to-the-touch Veruca fur throw.

This home in Napa off Silverado was rebuilt after burning down in the 2017 fires. Architect David Rulon, a former associate of Howard Backen, known for this Napa Valley industrial modern farmhouse style. Composed in mostly a neutral palette, the bones of this house are bathed in diffused natural light pouring in through the clerestory windows. Beautiful textures and the layering of pattern with a mix of materials add drama to a neutral backdrop. The homeowners are pleased with their open floor plan and fluid seating areas, which allow them to entertain large gatherings. The result is an engaging space, a personal sanctuary and a true reflection of it's owners' unique aesthetic. Inspirational features are metal fireplace surround and book cases as well as Beverage Bar shelving done by Wyatt Studio, painted inset style cabinets by Gamma, moroccan CLE tile backsplash and quartzite countertops.

In the process of renovating this house for a multi-generational family, we restored the original Shingle Style façade with a flared lower edge that covers window bays and added a brick cladding to the lower story. On the interior, we introduced a continuous stairway that runs from the first to the fourth floors. The stairs surround a steel and glass elevator that is centered below a skylight and invites natural light down to each level. The home’s traditionally proportioned formal rooms flow naturally into more contemporary adjacent spaces that are unified through consistency of materials and trim details.

With the kids’ rooms located upstairs, they used a smaller downstairs room as a play area for our two young children. Fun wallpaper, bright draperies and colorful wall art invite the kids right in. They love this room!

We had so much fun creating this colorful wonderland of a young girl’s bedroom. We went all out with fun wallpaper and whimsical decor. Plus, the bedroom boasts a stunning built-in banquette with a custom curated mix-and-match pillow assortment. Can you spy the subtle nods to the home’s coastal interior design theme? We discovered these beautiful fabrics from Schumacher with fish and coral motifs, and we just couldn’t resist!

The kids’ “fish bedroom” was one of our favorite rooms in the Naples house to design! Twin beds are so restrictive, so we opted for full size beds so the kids could also feel comfortable in their beds as they got older. First of all, can we please talk about this amazing custom fish wallpaper we wrapped around the room? The whimsical, nautical motifs continue with a white shiplap wall, porthole mirrors, a nautical rope chandelier, and a driftwood table lamp between the beds. But it’s the all-white elegance and additional modern details that makes this bedroom remarkable.
