The spaces within the house are organized with the public areas running south to north, arrayed on the brow of the slope looking toward the water in the distance. Perpendicular, the private spaces (bedroom, baths, and study) run east to west. The private spaces are raised and have wood floors, as opposed to the concrete floors of the public areas. Designed by Michele Menescardi, the Lazy armchair's winding lines recall nordic atmospheres. With its exceptionally comfortable seat cushion, lumbar support and matching footrest, you will definitely want to relax in this armchair. Two bases are available: wood for a more materic feel and metal for a minimalistic and easy look. The Square modular sofa's sleek look complements the fluid lines of the Lazy armchair. This sofa features exposed “pinched” double-needle stitching that runs along the edges of the backrest and seat cushions. The Square sofa comes in both leather and fabric, and can be configured in a variety of ways to suit any room layout. The Division double-sided bookcase is perfect for separating your room into different areas, and providing storage space.

The lower level contains the couple's wine cellar, as well as a fully equipped bar where they can savor wine tastings, cocktail parties and delicious meals while enjoying quality time with family and friends. The existing concrete floors were sprayed a rust color adored by the Lady of the House, and served as the color inspiration for the rust/orange swivel chairs in the TV viewing area. Two dramatic floor lamps flank a console table and divide the TV viewing zone from the nearby pool table. I can't wait to see my client again soon, not only to put the finishing touches on their home's transformation, but to break bread and share a cocktail, as we have become close during the past 21 months with our many flights to and from Chicago to Minneapolis.
