We used a stone tile - Blue de Savoir 12 x 24. it is the same as the slab on the counters.

Honed. I usually choose sealed honed countertops which show spotting less.

it is the same stone as the floor sloped to a narrow trough drain along the stone wall.

7. Find Your Niche Sometimes a little extra space can go a long way. Adding an open niche not only steals some empty wall cavity space to use as storage, but it can add a lot of visual depth that makes the walls look farther away than they really are.

CR - Also consider this niche for next to the master bath sinks MR - I am never one to say no to a good shelf for more organization and knicknacks.
