We did a restore on this 1870s heart pine floor in a historic National Park Service Meusium. Formally the Lighthouse Keepers House, these 1870 hear pine floors has so much character and beauty that a refinish wasn't an option. while wear and tear over the yeas of over 100,000 people a year walking across these floors had stripped away the old finish, We deep cleaned the wood, and then used a penetrating oil and gave it a good buffing to bring the shine back and replace the oil where it has been "walked off" over the years. Now the floor looks great and is ready for another hundred years!

This room as an unused dining room. This couple loves to entertain so we designed the room to be dramatic to look at, and allow for movable seating, and of course, a very sexy functional custom bar.

The fabulous Southwestern style fireplace, decor style and colors and arrangement of the seating areas lend an inviting warmth to the main living room of the house. For this residence, the stone came from excavating for the foundation and septic system and clearly reads as structural, not as a veneer. Attention to southern and northern exposures and resulting site preservation and energy requirements determined design choices. On southern exposures, heavily insulated wooden walls mitigate summer heat gain; the stone wall mass on the northern exposure slowly releases cooling during daytime hours. All exposed posts and beams are structural; exposed joist tails reveal the simple stick-framing and durability. Ultimately, the symbiosis of stone, wood, and steel reflects a structure rooted to its site.

This beautiful custom cut fireplace is made with Woodside natural stone veneer from the Quarry Mill. The stone has been cut on all four sides by the mason on site.Woodside is a castle rock style natural thin stone veneer that consists of several rectangular sizes with squared and random edges. The stone is a natural granite with a beautiful weathered finish. From almost peachy beiges with subtle marbling to much darker browns, Woodside offers versatility to blend with your homes decor. Woodside is a great choice when creating a staggered layout that still looks natural. The individual pieces of thin stone veneer range in height from 4″-12″. Due to the larger sizes of the pieces this stone works great on large scale exterior projects. Castle rock style stones like Woodside are almost always installed with a mortar joint between the pieces of stone.
